Is that poor lip syncing, mistimed audio on the trailer, or did they play different audio over the video clips? Is it some combination of the above?

Why is the audio so noticeably off, I'm so confused.

Hey, they made two Hoodwinked movies and the animation in that looks like it was made by a team of first year students in their spare time.

Shit literally floated from the hands of one character to another, several times in that movie.

It's another one of those animals teach us about nature/humans are baaaaad type of movies. The creators did not give a shit about animation quality because it's nature message first, actual watchable film second.

So watch it and feel bad about the plight of the poor cartoon animals.

What's with the trend of shitty, no budget, foreign-made CGI cartoons with English dubs consisting of all-star voice cast?
They are getting weird very fast that you have these poorly made CGI movies but somehow still have celebrities doing the English dubs.
The only dubbed foreign animated films I will re-watch this year are Only Yesterday, Evangelion 3.33: You Can (Not) Redo, and Ghost in the Shell: New Movie and even then, I will only re-watch them to hear the voices gloriously dubbed in English.
Dubbed > Subbed
>>
>>78647183
That shit is depressing and now I wish I didn't read that.
>>
>>78648566
American actors like voice acting roles. For the most part they're goofy kids movies where they get to mess around and have fun with the character, there's no costume work or physical acting involved (meaning no worries about diet or presentation or anything else of the sort), and there's much less work involved in getting into character.
>>
>>78647183
I saw this from outside the thread and just please never post this information again.
>>
This actually looks like a movie from 2005. Like those Dreamworks shows on Nickelodeon. Even the shitty Chipmunks movie had better looking CGI animals.
>>
>>78649805
An actor can't tailor their voice as well as an actual voice actor though. They end up sounding flat unless they have a fundamental understanding which most don't.

I caught a trailer for this during Star Wars, and after the god-awful Zootopia trailer, this actually seemed like a decent palette cleanser, maybe that's just me though
>>
>>78650563
He got into show business to make people laugh. It can't feel good knowing that he can't do that anymore, even if he can still make lots of money.
>>
>>78650466
right, but you'd be hard pressed to find an american cinema audience that cares about that. Most are satisified with the fact that famous person #4 is voicing the main character and leave it at that.

The Black Cauldron was a big enough flop to count for both of them.

Also, serious talk: The poster said the guy went from directing these old Disney movies to producing these new Lionsgate movies. Producing isn't the same as directing and it's entirely possible to just treat it as a pure investment without caring about the actual product.
