I think Ms Marvel v3 is a "spunky and/or quirky female lead" comic done right - the main character isn't infallible, there are actual stakes, a good status quo, fun supporting cast and the artist goes against the grain of mainstream comic art without bollixing everything

I enjoyed Dinosaur comics(the nazi pin one being one of my favorites), I enjoyed his story in Machine of death as well, but I don't feel that his style of writing works well with longer stuff.

Better question: Why do all of marvels current books have the same "voice". The attitude and sense of humor is the same and I feel like the dialogue could be switched from one book to another and you wouldn't notice.

The point is a lot of these books have very post-adventure time writing. It's all so quirky and quipy and derivative.
