A palette swap with more agressive play style and a greater reliance on Samson. It's like Akuma Vs Ryu. On paper, shotoclones. In practice, very different to play against.
But hey, it was less expensive to palette swap one character and replace some of their move animations than make an entirely new character. Art costs money man, and skullgirls didn't raise enough for anyone else.
But I'm hopeful for Lab zero's new project.

I'm cynical about how Indivisible will work out, since it's a Metroidvania-like made by a fighting game company. You can't exactly hotfix an exploration game like you can a broken fighting game: people are going to complain since you removed that one glitch that made NotSamus slide through the wall and skip that cutscene with Ogre Lady. Fighting games are not Metroidvanias, and you can't treat one like the other and expect a good result. Community outreach capacity of Lab Zero is middling at best, too ( ":^)" ), so I don't have a positive outlook on how Indivisible will hold up as a popular property.
The animation will be pretty consistent, at least. I'd be happy with a well-animated bouncing tits simulator that doubles as a casting call for talented animators to put their work into some mind-blowing cartoons.

That whole issue with the pantshots was idiotic too. Reason it blew up so much on /v/ was that there was a recent rash of "censorship" stuff going on with other games like R.Mika's buttslap so people were oversensitive to it and also just shitposting in general since it was done over six months ago before people even noticed. Only thing you could fault Lab Zero about it was that their response being a bit abrasive.
Only issue I kind of have is that the newest and "final" digital compendium that has all their frames and such TOOK OUT the Filia timeout (ripping shirt) and Buttslap frames. Kinda silly because the other unused and unfinished frames/moves are still there. Luckily I had an older compendium which still had them. Really should upload it at some point for everyone as its pretty much the complete set.

Akuma and Ryu had different sprites though. Not just the heads; but unique win poses, projectiles, attack animations (air fireball), super moves, etc.
Fukua has no single unique animation frame; they just rearranged the existing ones and swapped the palette.
Even Mortal Kombat had more unique palette swaps than Fukua (for example all the ninjas had different idle poses in MK2).
