I'm just glad that Prez, Midnighter and ASS8 are on there

Also Omega Men is in the top 25 probably!
>>
Plot twist: Squirrel Girl isn't even on the list.
>>
>>78538213
That would be amazing, but unfortunately, when it comes to BOTY lists for 2015, Squirrel Girl is /co/'s Undertale (with worse art (and probably fewer jokes)).
>>
>>78538213
Impossible. It being in the top 1-25 is disgusting but there's no way an SJW pandering site like CBR wouldn't have it SOMEWHERE on their Top 100.

WHERE'S THE SOURCE?

SHIIIIIIILL
>>

>probably
If Omega Men isn't on the list and Squirrel Girl is in the top 25 then CBR is well and truly irredeemable.
>>
>>78538341
Literally just archive that shit for "muh source" fags.
>>
>>78538395
Or they could just post the source. What, are you physically incapable of not clicking on a link when you see it? I didn't realise anyone could be that pathetic.

oh for fucks sake
>>
Top five will be
>Squirrel grill
>Thor
>Bitch Planet/Sex Criminals
>Lumber Janes
>Saga
>>
>>78538541
Fit Uncanny X-Men 600 or Ultimate End in those five.
>>
>Chew not on the list

Maybe top 25? Who am I kidding
>>
>>78538133
>081. Kaijumax

This one deserves to be higher.
>>
Grayson won't be on the list just like last year.

Those retards can fuck off to google if they want to give CBR more pages views so badly.

>100. Superman: American Alien

Needs to be for bottom 100

>083. The Sandman: Overture

WTF. Needs to be top 50 at least.

>053. Black Magick

There was only three issues, no way in hell is this a proper assessment seeing how #3 only landed today.
>>
>>78538870
Remember how well bitch planet placed last year, with only one issue out? CBR's list is bs for a reason.
>>
>>78538870
I've seen a ton of "best of 2015" or "2015 top ten" lists that have books with only one or two issues out
>>
>1. Bitch Planet
>2. The Sandman: Overture
>3. The Wicked + The Divine Vol. 3: Commercial Suicide
>4. Midnighter
>5. ODY-C
>6. Ms. Marvel: Last Days
>7. The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl
>8. Wytches
>9. Grayson Vol. 2: We All Die at Dawn
>10. Descender

And this is why nobody should take "best of" lists seriously.

IGN did a top 100 games of all time list this year and throughout the week as each set of 20 entries was posted, /v/ kept swearing up and down that Gone Home and Depression Quest would be in the top 10.

Neither were on the list at all.
>>
>>78539458
That's considering the past twenty-something years of gaming, though. This list is just for 2015.

While there is some hope for Squirrel Girl's absence, given the amount of press and praise it received throughout the rest of the year, such an absence seems unlikely.
>>
>>78539257
Sandman, Midnighter, Wytches, Grayson and Descender are good though.

Polygon.
>>

To be fair to Vision, those two issues were really fucking good.
>>
Glad to see Midnighter and Vision, hopefully Grayson, Omega Men and Fade Out are in the top 25.
Also, I'm happy James Bond made the list at all.
But B&R Eternal really shouldn't be there.
>>
>>78540178
True, the ranking is all fucked.

I'm tired of Squirrel Girl being on all of these best of lists. Is there something I don't see? The writing is mediocre and the art is atrocious.
>>
>>78540325
But muh quirky underdog Harper!
>>
>>78540325
Grayson didn't make last year's list so I doubt it'll make this year's list
>>
>>78540340
You aren't missing anything, it sells like shit but for some reason it's a sleeper hit to people on the internet. It's hypocritical of me to talk shit because the same thing happened with Superior Foes of Spider-man but Squirrel Girl is just fucking awful
>>
>>78540390
Shame that Superior Foes never sold well digitally.
>>
>>78540374
How did Grayson not make any lists last year? It'll be a crime if it gets left off this year too

It'd be cool to see the Darkseid War Green Lantern one shot make a list too but I'm not holding my breath on that one
>>
>>78539820
>Omega Men
>Prez
>Midnighter
Finally, a list with DC's top three comics. Add Grayson and Section 8 too and it would be my top 5 for this year when it comes to DC.
>>
>>78540447
Not muh Dickwing.
>>
>>78540340
Its "progressive". Also, lots of shills, probably.
>>
>>78540447
Outside of /co/ and r/dccomics, I saw that Grayson is not that well liked because "not muh Nightwing/Batfam" and the whole sexual objectification outrage. A lot of people don't like that Dick is a spy now and they'd rather have him back in Bludhaven and interacting with the Bat characters.
>>
>>78540567
That's ridiculous, Grayson is the best thing that happened to the character since he stopped being Batman. If they truly appreciated Dick (heh), they'd see that.
>>
>>78540340
Not one to shout about the "SJW BOOGYMAN", but it is there for the company to point at and say "Look we are progressive!"

Its just a token medal that they present too look good in the eyes of millennials.
>>
>>78540771
Not muh is powerful force, anon.
>>
>>78540771
Nonsense. Dixon is clearly the best thing to happen to the character. Brought him back to Batman where he belongs.

:')
>>
>>78540802
Marvel has plenty of comics that they can point at and say "look how progressive we are", but somehow this shit is on all best of lists.

Ms Marvel or Silk are better than SG, shill them instead. I personally think they're both mediocre, but they're definitely a hell of a lot better than Squirrel Girl.
>>
>>78540447
>How did Grayson not make any lists last year? It'll be a crime if it gets left off this year too
Outside of the fanservice in it no outlets talk about it. It has zero hype behind it and no one pays attention to it.
>>
>>78540883
The people who work on Ms Marvel and Silk aren't buddybuddy with many of the people who write for these websites.
>>
>>78540567
No it is because no one cares about spy shit at DC. People would rather talk about Batgirl, Gotham Academy, Midnighter, Prez, Omega Men, and so on even though Grayson outsells all these books.
>>
>>78540567
>>78540903
Really? It seems like the book has high praise all around

Didn't it dominate comixology one week when all the issues were on sale?
>>
>>78540903
It's why I'm afraid he'll go back to being Nightwing soon. After he takes down Spyral, he'll probably take up the NW identity again.

6-7 more issues till the whole spy thing comes to an end, I think. Damn shame I say.
>>
power up will be 1
>>
>>78540945
I'm glad people are talking about books like Omega Men, Midnighter and Prez though, since they need all the publicity they can get.

I'm not that mad Grayson is not that talked about on websites, since it's selling really well for a $4 DC book.
>>
>>78540903
/co/ is guilty of this too

Any discussion about Grayson that isn't lewd or whining about tumblr dies pretty fast
>>
>>78541021
It bothers me that books can get so much praise and accolades and make best of lists but still sell so poorly they get cancelled fast

Why doesn't quality sell ;_;
>>
>>78541027
To be fair, you can barely get any discussion on any series that isn't lewd or whining about tumblr.

Storytimes that are not "controversial" die down very quickly. I'm afraid people that read comics on /co/ are even fewer than you might think.
>>
>>78541075
unfortunately that's the case in any medium
>>
>>78541027
I think we have good discussions right in the storytime of issues but that's about it
>>
>>78540951
It gets some attention now, but that took over a year of issues before people started to notice it. It got overlooked by Batgirl, Gotham Academy and so on, which people immediately raved about as soon as they were launched and kept mentioning as the "DC books to look at" even though Grayson came out before them. The Batman editor was even talking about how it seemed people were overlooking it in some CBR interview. It's why in 2014 (which were arguably the best issues of Grayson) made barely any "best of the year" lists.

>>78540802
It's not even about being "progressive", it's about being trendy: all the cool kids with their tumblrs like it so as to not look "uncool" all the "nerd culture" sites praise it.
>>
>>78541124
People noticed it before, but it took a few issues for people to begrudgingly admit that it's good.

I know /co/ loves it now, but when it was announced and leading up to it, /co/ wasn't very happy about Dick being turned into a spy.

But after those few issues any hype or annoyance for it was mostly gone and it's just another title.
>>
>>78541259
Do they? Cause sometimes I go there and I barely see anything Squirrel Girl related.

Ms Marvel, Hawkeye, Young Avengers, Thor and Batfamily stuff is what they seem to like.

What's even happening in that damn comic anymore? It's at what, 200 issues now?

How are people still not sick of it?

I'll admit, it may be a case of people thinking it's popular, so they shill it therefore making it look popular, other sites look at this and do the same, rinse and repeat.

TV show works the same as Marvel's movie boost. Lots of comics with no reason to exist get published because there's secondary media about them.

If anything Undertale is to /v/ as Steven Universe is to /co/

You'd think Prez would be on top since because Female-Led Solo Title. Maybe "Jughead" hits their nostalgia boner in the right places, coupled with Female Artist.
>>
>>78544055
Jughead is written by comics news site darling Chip Zdarsky and drawn by their #1 "progressive" artist Erica Henderson

It's honestly more surprising that Jughead isn't higher and Prez is even on the list
