Nice lively feeling colors, feels very open, even with the the servery cropped (non) composition.
I thought the body was being stretched out as it often occurs, but on second look, the proportions are pretty good, it's just the fox (?) head that's way small for the body, like King in Tekken small.
It feels more like traditional Nip Ukiyo E prints, I like that.

I feel like good sci-fi is character driven rather than plot driven. I've always enjoyed a good morally grey protagonist.
Maybe a fish out of water story where a characters innocence is swallowed up by a conflict much larger than them. They're forced to act according to the situation rather in line with their personal values.
This transformation, similar to Rick Grimes in the walking dead or what was attempted in the prequel trilogy with Anakin, I've always found lends itself well to science fiction.
Thinking of this, seeing what happens to this character when the conflict is resolved would be neat. Sort of how they readjust and how the strange world they helped build no longer has a place for them would be interesting.
