It's always really frustrating when a writer creates a new character and no one uses that character after they leave. Khyber had a ton of potential, too.

This fell apart because Busiek kept having to do fill ins for both Action and Superman and the whole book collapse.

The run as a whole is really good, and with Johns's Action (and All-Star) it's a great era of Superman, but man there were a lot of fill ins.
