>Childhood friends Reed Richards and Ben Grimm create a prototype teleporter that attracts the attention of the Baxter Foundation, a research institute for young prodigies. Reed is recruited to join them and help Sue Storm and Victor Von Doom complete the Quantum Gate, and drifts apart from Ben, who joins the military. Sue is helping Harvey Elder create the Moloids, while Victor is a spy stealing data from Reed's research on behalf of the government of Latveria.
>When the government attempts to wrest control of the Quantum Gate away from them, Reed, Sue and Victor recruit Ben and Sue's brother, Johnny Storm, to commandeer the machine and explore a parallel dimension, the Negative Zone, which they learn is an extraterrestrial world that has been consumed by Galactus, an otherworldly abomination powered by dark matter. Victor is left behind and presumed dead after being engulfed by the dark matter, while Reed and Ben return to their shuttle in time for Sue and Johnny to bring them back. However, it is struck by Galactus and explodes, altering their DNA and giving them super-human abilities.

After evading them, Reed returns to the United States to alert the others that Victor has returned and is targeting them.
>Victor's men attack the Baxter Foundation while Johnny and his crew are visting Sue. Elder is disfigured after being doused in chemicals and retreats to the sewers, while the soldiers inject one of the Moloids with Dark Matter, causing it to grow gigantic and rampage through New York City. Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben come together to fight it and are celebrated as heroes by the media and named "The Fantastic Four".
>Reed is captured by the government, but rescued by the others, who learn that Victor has stolen the necessary components to build a massive Dark Matter cannon in Latveria. They convince the military to give them a chance to stop him and confront Victor in Latveria, where they learn he is an automaton, and the real Victor is still trapped into the Negative Zone, where he has been forced to become Galactus' herald and direct him to Earth. Victor planned to use his avatar to build a weapon powerful enough to kill Galactus, but the Four stop it, as it is unstable and could level half the planet, and destroy the avatar, leaving Victor trapped in the Negative Zone, where he vows revenge.
>The Four are then given a new base of operations by the military and assemble a team of scientists to build the weapons necessary to defend Earth from the looming arrival of Galactus.

Yeah I remember reading this, its still awful. I recall another script where the 4 were building a experimental spacecraft called "The Fantastic" in a barn and the government surrounded the area for unauthorized takeoff. They take off anyway and crash, gaining powers, and dubbed the Fantastic 4 by the media. The scene dialogue sounded fun anyway.

Seriously, why didnt they give him pants? I mean not just for the obvious reason but it helps break up the design so hes not just one boring color. Heres hoping phase 4 sees the return of the 4. At least by then, god willing, enough time will have passed introduce them
