Any of you guys remember the Inspector Gadget
movie from Disney?
>>
Sure. Why?
>>
>>78512219
Can you dance?
>>
>>78512219
I wish I didn't.
>>
>>78512219
I remember that it existed.
>>
Wonder if there will be another season on Netflix
>>
>>78512219
I love this movie
>>
I would love someone doing to Inspector Gadget what they did to Astro Boy with Pluto.
>>
>>78512219
NoOoOoOo! I gotta get outta here!
*teeth chatter*
>>
Bullshit they showed Dr. Claw in full body, pretty much ruining the whole point of his character.

At least the DTV sequel "tried" to undo their mistake.
>>
>>78512462
So much worse
>>
>>78512462
Least they gave him an actual claw instead of just a metal gauntlet. But other than that, they royally fucked up with him.
>>
I liked it, same as spy kids 3d game over
I don't know why they got low reviews, they were lots of fun
>>
>>78512219
Awful movie, but I have fond memories of the McDonald's toys.

>mfw in the theater hearing no one laugh throughout this whole movie
>>
>>78512927
Same thing happened in my theatre when I saw The Cat in the Hat
>>
Inspector gadget has always had a soft spot in my heart, I love how dumb and quirky it is. The movie, though not perfect, was fun in its own way. Now I would love a re-imagining of it.
>>
>>78512838
>I don't know why they got low reviews, they were lots of fun
Because adults find lorandom screwball humor boring after 10 minutes, let alone 90.

I remember a scene where some lady got covered in toothpaste

>>
>>78512219
I've spent the last ten years trying to forget it.
>>

>spy kids 3d game over
Oh god no fuck no fuck that goddamn movie, it was terrible.
>>
>>78512219
I liked it better than the cartoon Now I hate both
>>
Go go gadget Matthew Broderick sucks
>>
>>78512219
Haven't watched it since I was a kid, but I have some fond memories of it cause it was shot in my hometown

Shit that must have happened:

>Hey guys, we're making an Inspector Gadget movie!
>Cool, who are we going to cast as Gadget?
>I know! That guy from Ferris Bueller's Day Off!
>Perfect! I'll get him on the line now!
>*A few days later*
>Well, we did it! We got Matthew Broderick to sign on!
>Wait, Matthew Broderick?
>Well, yeah, the guy from Ferris Bueller's Day off.
>I meant that guy who played Cameron idiot, Alan Ruck! We're stuck with some Irish-killing cunt who hasn't put in a good live performance in fifteen years!
>Well, too late now boss, we're starting production today.
>Fuck! This movie is already doomed, might as well fuck it up real special. Get Claw to show his face in the first ten minutes, would you?
>>
>>78513031
Which is weird because from what I've seen, it seems to be a bit closer to the cartoon than the first one.
>>
>>78518932
>Alan Ruck as Inspector Gadget

I can kinda see it.
>>
>>78518589
NOSTALGIA
>>
YAHOOOO HOOOO
>>
Claw was fun, fuck it if we saw his fave
>>
I remember really liking the cartoon and as a result had my parents take me to see it several times in theaters.

I was 5 at the time.
>>
>>78520167
That's pretty much the only thing I remember from this movie. Every time I see Yahoo anywhere this pops into my head.
>>
I remember that time Mathew Broderick killed someone with his car and had the sense to tell the police he didn't remember anything.
>>
>>78518158
Whatever you do, don't watch it again. I recently went back to see if it held up. It doesn't, like at all. Truly a godawful movie, it's actually really REALLY bad.

>>
>>78512777
man, whatever happened to rupert everett?
>>
>>78512219
I drink to try and forget ever watching it... Worse yet, when I first saw it as a child... I didn't think it was that bad.
>>
>>78523734
He went back home.
>>
>>78512274
I hope not, the first season was unfortunately too loyal to the original's formula which honestly wasn't that great.
>>
>>78521568
Are you gay. Literally all the childhood actresses I liked as a kid grew up and became average to below average except for jaimie spears, but she's used goods
>>
>>78512219
I liked the first movie, thought it was awesome, with all the robotics and stuff. Second film is shit though, like seriously, what the fuck?

Then again though, I saw it in Spanish, so who knows how the English version is like.
>>
>>78521568
I beg to differ.

...whoa, that felt creepy to write.
>>
>>78520052
The sequel had a better Gadget, but a worse everything else.
>>
>>78523885
I agree with this.
At least Rupert Everett had fun with Claw.
>>
>>78521334
>I heard a rumor that Inspector Gadget was created because we couldn't get the rights to Lupin III

I don't know about that. But Inspector Gadget started out as an Inspector Clouseau cartoon, but they realized kids wouldn't watch it, so they gave him gadgets.
>>
>>78523885
>being better than mathew broderick

not that challenging desu
>>
>>78523648
If it was the left arm you weren't missing much.
The Fry Grabber was the best piece, the rest are only good for completing the set.
>>
>>78523995
The one that extends. I always though(and still do) that the extending arms were awesome. Fuck dude, kids love robots, especially if they do cool shit.
>>
Inspector Gadget 2 is the only movie I know of that was filmed in my city. I even recognized my university in the final scene.
>>
I remember commercials for it. they showed Claw's face in them so I never cared for the movie even as a 10 year old.
