The plot revolves around this eternal war between two brothers (one strong in magic, the other technology) and their disciples that fight for them. When one of their disciples die, they're instantly reincarnated into a new body by suppressing the soul of someone already alive
Unfortunately the brother of magic gets captured and without any more useable bodies to reincarnate into, one of the disciples is forced to reincarnate into the body of a woman with two children
So, in a sense, Mantra kind of is the first transgender superhero if you think about it

The Ultraverse was one of the few good things to come out of 90's comics aside from Valiant. Shame Marvel completely ruined them and then swept it under the rug, never to talk about it again

They'll never bring back the Ultraverse. Apparently the contracts between Malibu and the creators are extremely favorable towards the creators and keeps Marvel from using them. No reason to make a Prime comic if you have to give a large amount of the profits to someone else.

It's not a bad comic, except some of the artists they got later on were kinda crap. The plot is interesting and the characters are likeable. It's a superhero mom with a twist.
