Thing is, I think Warren is actually doing a disservice to his own character by making her so thick and sturdy when she's supposed to seem like a soft delicate pushover that the entire cape-verse bullies and that we as the readership is supposed to feel sorry for.
By making her a bigger character he's actually making her more brawny looking. If she's going to keep up her whiny woe-as-me bullshit with big stumpy butter-churning quaker arms then it's gonna be harder making her pitiable character.
