Which all of those have been from the very start. Hell, they had Wonder Woman's movie/tv show in development for 20 years before society changed enough that they realised the character, lacking any great central conceit or relatability, could be a really titty girl in a swimsuit who ran and wrassled a lot.
The problem isn't so much that DC's characters were "misused" or commodified, as that they weren't enough of a commodity to begin with due to lack of appeal.
