I would give so much to have 1/10 of your writing skills, the amount of detail you put into settings and characters while keeping stuff still feeling like something you would see in the show is nothing short of amazing to me. Not to mention very ofthen feature original characters that feel like they fit perfectly in the show. My fics have very plain, predictable plots with extremely limited settings, a fic of mine is lucky to take place in 2 different places and rarely focus on more than 4 characters and I could never dream to make a likeable original character that doesn't feel alien to the world.Though one could argue Hope was original since I had to make up her personality for my fic, and she doesn't seem to fit the vision people have for her in most green texts I seen.
So the fact that you of all people is looking forward to more of my dumb boring writring makes me very happy. Thanks!

Interestingly enough, it depends entirely on the episode which of the two is going to be the grounding one for the episode. Usually it's Marco with his safe personality and Earth heritage; however there's a number of episodes where he's out of his element so Star is the rock for normalcyusually the ones focusing on his social life situationor both of them working in tandem. Those 50/50 ones tend to be my favorites, though I imagine you could interpret it differently.

I've seen some folks who get motion sickness explain that it can be on and off like that, ;ie fine when in something familiar like their own car, or routine commune. But keel over when someone else is driving or something like that. It's like a rhythm thing apparently, the less familiar something is, the higher the chances for nausea.(Either that, or he remembers to have some ginger before going to school and/or family car trips.) That said, unless they expand upon it and/or explain it's always going to feel like a shoehorned-in gag to make him appear awkward and/or weak around his peers and/or crush.
I don't think they ever said/showed anything about Jeremy ever beating Marco directly outside of being higher ranked.(Which they said was mostly a result of throwing his wealth around) Even so it would probably be like >>78472127 said with Jeremy being a big cheater. If I recall right the other students rank lower than Jeremy as well with an orange and blue belt respectively. (I'm not familiar with the hierarchy aside from how they differ depending on style/school?) Also have to remember that said black belt ran away the moment Marco snapped during Banagic Incident. If he actually earned his rank he could've fought off the green belt easily.
As for the green belt maybe Marco started late? Or he's just really really unlucky, and always injured himself whenever a big test came, thus missing out on various opportunities to 'rank up'. It could also be reflective of his overly safe nature. I can sort of picture a younger Marco trying to convince himself that he won't get splinters/diseases/hurt too bad from breaking planks.
But yeah, I hope they put consistency over comedy more often in the second season.

Nudity as a gag certainly has occurred often enough in US-based family-oriented animation, but it usually involves a) a male victim who b) is humiliated by others due to his public nudity, particularly females.
It's a bit different when the story depicts a male foreign-exchange host parent in the US, even in the more-permissive state of California, walking proudly in the buff in front of his teen girl foreign-exchange student.
As progressive as you may think some parts of this country is, the eyebrows still tend to go up when an adult male goes nude in front of a teenage girl. Based on Marco's reaction, it's probably not something that occurs at home, either.
To be certain, it was handled tastefully, but it was a different scenario from what the US family-based animation industry - much less Disney - has allowed in the past.
