Gentlemen, clearly he has an appreciation for a woman's ENTIRE form.
Because he is a MAN, not a fetishist

He certainly makes bad look good.
More please?

guess this is an Arthur Adams tread now

I think he's going for pouty Angelina lips but instead everyone looks like the lower half of their face shrunk

This shouldn't be Art Adam thread only.

How about some Chris Bachalo?

Indeed, we need to bump it up more.
Chris Bachalo is good. I always like his style since Generation-X.

I generally don't like hyperdetailed realism but man, AA is god tier. Look at the beautiful feathering and the way it wraps around the forms.
Something different, Tony Sandoval
I've got a book of his for Christmas (1000 Tempetes) and it's growing on me. The man draws weird as heck figures and I think he pours a lot of his fetishes into his work, but those watercolors are fucking amazing.
Paul Renauld
Yanick Paquette
... and now from your regular meme based friendly neighborhood artist, Frank Cho.
Like him or hate him. His style is solid.

Need more cowbell!
So, Adam Hughes it is.
I always had a thing for Earl Norem's art for Savage Sword of Conan, even if my favorite artist for the mag was Gary Kwap-something-or-other.
>>78471005
That's a good classic Conan painting.
>>78470900
holy shit
I just love Frank Quitely
More AH! (Adam Hughes). From Fairest cover
Damn all these cool artists and none of them are drawing any of the books I like.
Though I guess Cho is on Affirmative Action Hulk, which is alright. Are most of these folks just cover artists? I assume they'd be too expensive for whole runs.
>>78471135
>Damn all these cool artists and none of them are drawing any of the books I like.
>Though I guess Cho is on Affirmative Action Hulk, which is alright. Are most of these folks just cover artists? I assume they'd be too expensive for whole runs.
Cho is routinely doing inside art. While Adam Hughes is almost exclusively cover artist.
>>78471135
Adam Hughes could do monthlies, but he'd rather make his money drawing commission porn for degenerates. That's basically all he does now aside from the occasional cover.
This is Adam Hughes in rare moves. Doing interior art for Batman Black & White.
Not a big cape fag but always dug me some kelly jones
>>78471036
You can never go wrong with the classics, especially since I've always felt the art actually got better once it got away from the Roy Thomas and Buscema era. Then Ernie Chan arrived and it all went to hell again.
Enough rambling, it's time for Joe 'bitches and wine' Jusko!

Porn? America and their prudent sensibility is amusing me.
Meanwhile, last page from AH! Batman Black & White
Tradd moore
This'll be my last Conan-related image, but it's from my absolute favorite of the pin-up and cover artists: Tony Dezungia. Probably the guy who drew the best Conan - better than Frazetta even.
Mico suayan
Stuart Immonen, one of a very versatile artist working today. He can changes his art style when needed.
>>78471550
That is pretty bitchin.'
Can't wait for him to come back on bloodshot.
To mix it up a lil', I've also always liked Hugh Pratt's artwork in Corto Maltese. It's not necessarily the cleanest artwork in the world, but I've always found it to be among my favorites for Eurocomics.
It also reminds a little of The Long Halloween's artwork, but that's probably just my imagination.
>>78471395
Wow what a fucking cunt.
>>78471466
This is mostly what he does now, which is nice, but I wish he'd do interiors.
>>78471792
It's a cheeky pinup art, with nudity in it. Fans want him to draw female characters. Should he rejects it? Definitely not.
There is the different between nude art and straight up porn.
>>78471716
Pratt is absolutely fantastic, but I think it's just the coloring on that image that makes it look sale like. Sale exaggerates in his anatomy, where as Pratt is more grounded. Can't wait for in Siberia to be published in the states. Hope we get colored versions eventually.
>>78471900
He's more than likely done some straight up porn for someone, I'm sure all high profile artists like him get requested to do it all the time.
>>78471621
He's even better at motion
>>78455064
Oh yes
>>78471466
That looks traced as fuck.
>>78471964
>He's more than likely done some straight up porn for someone, I'm sure all high profile artists like him get requested to do it all the time.
Maybe he is still doing it, per commission basis. Maybe not. But i have asked him similar question a few months ago (He attended Comic Con in Asia). He said his Penthouse Comixxx days was way behind him, also, funny thing is, not many people commissioned him on that subject. Perhaps since his wife Allison is handling that front now.
As evidently, he is still pretty much open for drawing tasteful, cheeky nude pinup stuff.
>>78470900
>>78471095
Meh, charest is way better then Hughes IMHO.
>>78472059
>That looks traced as fuck.
Adam Hughes is not Greg Land, he is not photo tracing. Photo referencing, most definitely (Just like any other illustrators you can think of).
Still, he already had certain sets in mind, especially for his Catwoman, since Audrey Hepburn is pretty much the basis of her Selina Kyle drawing.
>>78472204
Travis Charest is good, i love his style. But i do wonder, where is he now? I haven't seen his art graced any comic titles for ages.
Alex Garner
>>78472328
Yeah I dunno maybe he's planning something big. He took forever working on metabarons and then he didn't even do half the artwork in the book. I would love to see anything by him, but what I want the most is a Pepsi man revival.
>>78472391

>>78472582
dude what?
dodsons faces are like the easiest and most identifiable part of his work.
>>78472721
They look like Hughes' faces as well.
>>78472721
>>78472753
I think Dodson is more personal than Hughes tbqh
I don't care how he's a Hughes copycat, his shit actually has some personality to it.
>>78472582
>>78472721
>dude what?
dodsons faces are like the easiest and most identifiable part of his work.
To be honest, Hughes and Dodson art style, especially the way they are drawing women are not that entirely different. I personally call their style "Long lost brother in comic art". Although, they are developing their more distinct style late in their careers. Dodson with a more Europe style sensibilities, especially with his watercolor style of coloring (His wife Rachel involved a lot in that one).
I can think of late 80s/Image Founders art style for example. You can't almost tell the different between Jim Lee and Marc Silvestri art style. Then, plenty of up and coming artists in the early 90s tried to emulate Lee and Silvestri style. Too much of our chagrin.
>>78472992
>His wife Rachel involved a lot in that one
I wish Rachel got more credit, her inking is absolutely fantastic.
>>78472992
>Dodson with a more Europe style sensibilities,
Isn't Dodson working on Franco-Belgian series nowadays?
>>78473098
>I wish Rachel got more credit, her inking is absolutely fantastic.
Terry Dodson always crediting Rachel whenever they have the chance. Their signature together in every artworks whenever Rachel involved in it.
>>78473174
I meant credit from the public, of course they sign their things together. I rarely see Rachel Dodson's name brought up when people talk about inking, even though she's top tier.
>>78473109
>Isn't Dodson working on Franco-Belgian series nowadays?
Yes he is, the latest one is "Red One". Right now is being published by Image Comics for North America market.
>>78466553
This book is great and his watercolors are god-tier ! I met the guy at Angoulême last year to get a book signed, it's fantastic to see him draw. And he's chill as fuck !
>>78473214
>I meant credit from the public, of course they sign their things together. I rarely see Rachel Dodson's name brought up when people talk about inking, even though she's top tier.
Perhaps it's because she is almost exclusively inking on Terry Dodson work.
>>78473292
Is he fast? This is the kind of work that feels like it got a shitton of planning behind it despite looking very loose.
I think the comic is kind of uncomfortable to read but I guess that's the purpose of it. His style is creepy. I love how he places highlights and how he draws realistic teeth on the weird Adventure-Time-esque figures to make stuff more carnal. Technically he's really, really damn good.
>>78448479
I need evidence of this claim....for pure scientific purposes, of course...
>>78473598
Not that much. According to him, if there are two different styles in 1000 Tempêtes, it's mostly because he rewrote a lot of pages in the middle of drawing them ! So as he was running short on time, he decided to keep some pages fully watercolored, and to redraw all the other, but with digital colouring, cause faster. The book is still awesome.
>>78474042
He took about 20-25 mins to draw while we were talking btw. I would have loved to join a pic but I'm at my parent's place for the holidays, I don't have the book with me.
>>78474042
Cool to know. I think (if you don't know him already) you might like Sergio Toppi. I've got his Sharaz-de and it's amazing with the same eerie kind of feel depite a different style.
>>78474085
It's more of a picture book than a proper comic. It's basically a rendition of Arabian Nights.
Reading Suicider lately. Lee Bermejo art is insanely good.
>>78474077
>He took about 20-25 mins to draw while we were talking btw. I would have loved to join a pic but I'm at my parent's place for the holidays, I don't have the book with me.
Sounds like a cool guy. I'm going to keep track of his work for sure, and I think I'll be stealing some of the things he does in watercolor.
>>78474085
Wow ! Amazing inking ! No I didn't knew about him, but i think I just found the next thing I'm gonna buy.
Still Lee Bermejo art
>>78474176
Too bad he worked on Hellblazer for only 2 issues. It's one of those artists that were just perfect for the job !
Posting a bit of François Schuiten. Sorry for the meh quality, digital editions are still uncommon on this side of the Atlantic.
