Yeah, it's gonna be hard with the TV show already doing a good job of showcasing the character. I'm not convinced with Ezra Miller either, although hopefully I'm wrong.
All I want is a standalone Batman movie with The Riddler as the primary antagonist. Make him a Jigsaw kind of villain. Have some kind of big bruiser villain as a secondary, one who's being used by Riddler but is too blinded by something to see it. Someone like Killer Croc or Clayface.

Diana takes her to Themesceria to heal and to contain her.

I prefer DC but i have this worrying feeling they wont do as good as MCU. Marvel started this capeshit bonanza and they've done a great job, say what you want about their plots or their staying true to the comics, whatever blah blah blah, but their films work. The actors are great together, they bounce of each other, its light hearted, they brought all the avengers solo films first before the avenger films so we got to get to know all the characters.The post credit scenes are great. To the average movie goer the films are fun and comfy
Even the TV shows are done right, dark gritty, as it should be, because on the street level of a world with super heroes it would be dark and gritty
I'm not saying the DC films will be shit but i think people are so used to Marvel that they might not be ready for DC, not including superman and batman, and joker the rest of the DC heroes and villains to the average movie goer are really unheard of, even the flash isn't that well known to the average person, and its the average person who will pay to go and see these films and make these films billion dollar films
