That's ~1800 crystals a month assuming you're actively playing.
They're a lot easier to come by than they used to be. Still, I'd recommend getting Stark Stash. It's $3.50 for a month of 75 crystals a day + 200 up front. The regular crystal package prices are disgustingly overpriced though, even when they're having BOGO sales.

I've been playing since May with a break somewhere in the middle and didn't pay anything up until a month or so ago. And I've never been one to buy in-app purchases. You can easily play the game without spending money, the game gives you plenty of opportunities for free crystals and the start-up bonuses for newbies now is pretty good. But if you do end up wanting to spend some money in the game, definitely pick up Stark's Stash
