holy shit- what if Chuck Asay is actually two people. One of them, the writer, is super conservative and comes up with the ideas. The other one is the artist and leans more liberal.

Because they used to be in complete control of society, but now their power is waning so they think they're being hard done by. It's like those studies where they staged a meeting where white speakers and black speakers spoke for an equal length of time but when questioned the audience members thought that the black speakers spoke 70 to 80 percent of the time, people are so used to white people getting all of the attention that genuine equal time feels like the blacks are getting a disproportionate amount of time.

because they cannot tolerate any legitimate criticism of their beliefs or when people point out inconsistencies and hypocrisies. Any time they can't force their relgion on others? THat means God has had his place stolen by the GUBBERNMENT

And of course, those who get into Government use it as a platform for forcing their religion into the law of the land.

And, of course, use the power of the government while screaming about being persecuted. Just like what the Governor of Texas, the Shitbag State, did.

Because people don't get married purely to start a household anymore. Back in the old days many couples got together simply because they knew each other and it was at the point in your life when you should start your own household, not because they were in love with each other. You see it in things like the latest season of Fargo, where the lead character was married to the little sister of the woman he was originally engaged to because he went to fight in Vietnam and his fiance went and married another man.

So really, sex isn't the problem, romance is.

Marriage is a bad rep for males, procreational speaking now that women can take care of kids by themselves.

Name of Natural game: Pass your genes onto the next generation.
From the Female perspective; it takes a fuckton of resources and she risks death every time she shits out a shreking potato. Due to this, every kid she has and survives is important, and the energy spent protecting and feeding that kid generally is more efficient than letting it die.

From the male perspective, passing genes is relatively simple, almost like taking a handful of corn, throwing it on some land and seeing which ones take root. Their reproduction is not limited by a 9 month incubation period carrying on average, only one progeny. So his optimal approach is literally a shotgun method. This means that not being attached to any single female is overall optimal.

He thinks modern society has broken up the nuclear family somehow, and that the government has taken the role of the nanny state.

>>
>>78403801
>>78403816

He's basically saying that if we allow two men to get married, then we'll set a precedent for accepting pedo relationships, beastiality, a man marrying his tractor, etc.
>>
>>78403845
>>78403870

I think it's just a pun on "confession". The soldier wants to confess to a priest, Catholic-style, but Asay seems to think that the military is actively oppressing Christian soldiers.

>>
>>78403951

America in general romanticizes the idea of being superior (morally, skillfully, technologically, etc.) yet the underdog. You can see it in their movies, video games, and so on.

There's nothing wrong with that, of course. Every culture has its escapist archetypes. But every culture also has dumb people that can't discern between fictional tropes and reality, and so you get this vocal segment of Christian Americans that dearly believe they're smarter and better than other people but nonetheless oppressed by their inferiors.
>>
>>78403956
some christians in the military feel they're being discriminated against because it's no longer okay to openly loathe fellow gay soldiers
>>
>>78403969

This is an edit, right? I haven't seen it before, but it's even more opaque than most Asay, and there's that blank space above the ax head.
>>
>>78403988

Maybe that's Asay's problem in >>78403845. Note that the superior says no one cares about the soldier's preferences, not that he's not allowed to have them. Maybe he's miffed that Christian soldiers can't tell Muslims or Hindus or whatever to get out.
>>
>>78404677

>>78404742

It says a lot about how good Christians have it in the United States that their definition of oppression boils down to they aren't allowed to discriminate against whoever they want anymore.

>>78404815

That seems pretty common really. My high school was always having religious themed programs and stuff with the underlying message being:

"Oh, it's not religious at all! It's just a life-affirming program where everything is coincidentally Evangelical Christian aligned!

And we can't force you to go to this; we'll just make your life miserable if you don't."

Even in the Internet age of people fighting over identity politics and micro aggressions, most people understand that someone saying "gays shouldn't be allowed to raise kids" or "women shouldn't be allowed to get abortions" is absolutely ludicrous

It's such an easy target anyone can have fun with it
>>
>>78403726

Going by the way he drew them, I'm pretty sure that it's supposed to be that the Pot Dealers are the ones you want in prison.

Some of them have aggressive posturing or nonchalant and he doesn't draw eyes for any of them. The businessmen seem more pensive; mainly because they have eyes and a hint of humanity as a result.

Plus they're all clean-cut white guys rather than the scraggly looking bunch with a few of those dangerous swarthy types from the first image.

He was trying to pack visual cues into it but the caption completely undermines what he was going for because people are well aware that the latter group actually does a lot more damage to society than the first one.

I think that policeman (?) is dating the guy he is hugging and the woman his implying that their union is a sin against nature like an oil spill.

It also took me a while to get it because I thought the cop was arresting the punk with the "act up [triangle] now" shirt. Then I saw the "gay pride" armband but read it as "gay prude" and that threw me off in a different way.

They also don't really look offensive so I took a while to understand they were the problem the author was speaking out against.

What the fuck are you talking about "practical"? Guantanamo Bay was a huge boondoggle that didn't prevent future terrorist acts and made our country look like a bunch of pieces of shit who would hold people for undetermined amounts of time with no trials. You can't hunt down and lock up everyone who doesn't agree with you. I'm not saying that from a stand point of it being immoral i'm saying it from the stand point where it's just not fucking possible. All you're doing is giving more, real and credible motivation for people to want to see our country eat shit and sink to the bottom of the ocean.

Do you really think Arabs just woke up one day and hated our freedom? Then decided to try and attack us because they just hate fucking freedom so much?

The same reason they're killing people of the same faith, and destroying holy sites of their own faith.
They're fucking fundamentalists, who think that everyone who's not practising the exact same kind of religious sect as them, to the exact same level of devotion (no more, no less), is a heretic. Because they think it's the fucking end times.

They may be muslims, but it's not Islam that makes them crazy, it's their crazy interpretation of it that makes them crazy.

>They're fucking fundamentalists, who think that everyone who's not practising the exact same kind of religious sect as them, to the exact same level of devotion (no more, no less), is a heretic. Because they think it's the fucking end times.

They're fucking SJW's, who think that everyone who's not practicing the exact same kind of dogmatic, baseless in science morals as them, to the exact same level of retardation (no more, no less), is a shitlord. Because they think it's the fucking end times.

The cult of Multiculturalism is MUCH more dangerous to us than Islam. It is a belief system that espouses science in favour of the consensus of feelings. It has a promised land. It has followers who try and convert others. It is a religion in every single way and it has power in every western country.

How about the fact that we have countries where three generations have seen a constant military presence from the west? It's not hard to hate America. Religion is not the cause of these issues. Islam is thousands of years old. Muslims weren't building ships to crash in to shit over here in the 1800's.
>>
>>78408755
One, Islam is about thousand years old. Mohammed gave his message in about 600 AD.

Second, why is Islam overly concerned with Western religions? Islam was the light of the world in about the 15th century (1400-1600 basically).

Third, and to the main point of your post, the Middle East has a lot of oil, and that has nothing to do with the religion of the region. Shit sucks for people who have what is needed for the planet.
