Have Korra go through to the Spirit World alone or with all her friends.
>>
It wouldn't have continued past the first book.

Cancelling it.

Okay here's what you do. Keep Amon as the villain for at least 2 books. Cut Unalok out. Have the Red Lotus be the main villain of the other two. Just have Kuvira show up as the Conqueror they go to kill instead of Queen Plot Devise. There, plot's neat and tidy. As for character. Write the main four as like... 3 years younger. It cuts down on bad drama and explains there behavior better.

But amon is dead post 1st season.

I end the show in the second season with korra fighting Kon the facestealer. Only to lose her face.
>>
Yea remove Unalok out. Make the Red Lotus the main group behind most of the other antagonists and the primary reason there are bender supremacists and non bender forces arming up against each other.

>Keep the second season stuff with the North and South water tribes going to war but not because someone wants to become some dark bender. Because the Red Lotus wants to weaken the water tribes.
>Kuvira's revolution is another one of their plots to weaken the Earth Kingdom.
>Amon is a potent waterbender member of the Red Lotus sent to stir up trouble in the Republic and weaken it.
>The only reason there are random Airbenders everywhere is because the Air Nomads ran away and hid among the populations of the Earth and Fire nations. Korra is just discovering this.
>Red Lotus wants the nations to be weaker and unwilling to unite. Each nation is to be separate and at odds with each other.
>Turns out the Red Lotus is actually a plot by various spirits that want the humans to be much less powerful and at war with each other so they can some day retake the Earth.
>Spirits hate the humans and fear their bending power. They want to live on the Earth again.

Thats my point, that wasn't a bad story line it just needed fleshing out.

>Kon the facestealer

They should have been connecting the dots since at least season two. I mean imagine if aang beat Ozai in season one.

I'd give her the ability to fight. Watching her get her ass kicked didn't really do it for me. Good show though.
>>
>>78392785
Well I'm assuming she would get it back, but that's the cliffhanger?

Let it end after the first book and have a 1 hour special of the first avatar.

Perfect.

Add pornography.

>past the first book

The first book was a big part of the problem.

It was conceived as a mini-series so there was no grand arc, just a quick beginning middle and end. If it was written as a three/four-season show from the get-go then maybe there could have been a real arc, a main villain, and more consistent character development.

I would also make a point of having the characters travel so there's some proper world-building. World-building was a huge part of ATLA and something that Korra often lacked (whole season spent on Republic City but you barely know anything about it, season spent on water tribes but they're basically the same as in ATLA barring some industrialization which really doesn't matter, two seasons spend on Earth Kingdom which did have the metal benders but was otherwise the same, ZERO seasons or even singular episodes about Fire Nation).

I always thought the last episode of the first season should have been the second season.

>Loses all her bending except air
>Katarra cannot help so she goes on a mission to all the other nations to relearn bending.
>We see Korra in Earth Kingdom, North Water Tribe country, and Fire Nation
>Has a deep spiritual journey and then learns about the story of Wan and how he defeated the spirits and helped humanity.
>Eventually relearns her connection to Earth, Fire, and Water bending. Probably by searching for all the long lost lion turtles.

>A
End it.

Begin new series about a previous Avatar.

>B
Triads.

Let's actually make use of the new setting since we went ahead and ruined it.

>if i can change it so she doesn't get all of her bending back at the end of the first book
no more romance ... EVER
she learns to use airbending & is starting to get more in touch with her spiritual side because of it
Uncle comes back wanting help & I don't make him a one note villain
she goes to the spirit realm & sacrifices more of herself

>if i couldn't
completely rewrite it to be unlike anything season 2 was
she learns humility rather than being a bitch who threatens a judge with death who was just doing his fucking job (even if he was bribed)

>if i can't rewrite her character
kill her & pick up with the next avatar

I really liked the first season. I thought the idea of non-benders being afraid/angry at benders in a post-industrial setting where their powers are no longer necessary for the day-to-day operations of their city was an interesting concept. I also liked the idea of Bolin and Mako having to get jobs/hustle for money after pro-bending was no longer an option. That could've added a degree of randomness to their otherwise static setting.

Plus I really liked Amon. I genuinely liked the idea of a bender who hated the idea of bending and started a movement to get rid of it. My favorite part of him is that he kidnaps criminals and good guys alike and he treats them the same: doesn't hurt them, doesn't imprison them, only takes their bending away and releases them. I mean he insists on doing it in front of a crowd and that's a little fucked up but still.

Oh sure, the ideas were there, I just don't think it really works as a first season of a show because it wasn't DESIGNED to be. They had to put everything on the table immediately. So it led to a lot of forced resolutions and awkward moments, that could have worked with better pacing. Personally I wasn't a fan of the ending. I also thought the episodes focused around the romance and pro-bending were a waste of time, but they wouldn't necessary be a waste of time if they were spread out better and didn't take precious time away from more interesting plots.

I agree, Amon and Republic City could've been a lot more interesting than they were if they'd have spent more time with them. Mako and Bolin talk about how they used to be criminals and still have ties to the city's criminal underground: how often do we see that other than the episode where Bolin goes to do a job with the triads but their crew gets kidnapped by Equalists?

Korra has nothing to do if she's not playing Bending with the boys? Have her going around the city trying to be a normal teenager/young adult after airbender training is over for the day. Korra lived in the south pole her whole life, she wouldn't be at all curious about how kids her age spend time?
