It's on the lower end of the franchise if you ask me. 6/10, not bad, but would have my daughter watch other seasons before dumping that one on her. Erika was the only enjoyable character.

I gave it a chance, one chance and it failed.
I'm not going to pretend I'm some PreCure fanatic, I was more of a fan of Zettai Karen Children and the like that try and distance themselves from the standard mahou shojo.
That dream sequence at the start came off as some really trash editing to try and create a hook for dumb fucking western children that would normally be handed by the god damn fucking opening of the show.
Looking online and watching the first 4 minutes of the original has now pissed me off because of how better it is in every conceivable fashion.
I don't like being this weeb, I hate being this weeb, but they fucked up.
They chopped the opening into a 40 second shit show and the dialog is made of pain.
I understand why they went with Smile PreCure, the 9th iteration.
It was the one that is centered around well known and beloved fairy tales.
