Can we just have a general thread about comics we really dig?
We spend so much time talking about bullshit we hate, let's just talk about our favorite series and maybe suggest some good shit.
I honestly just love comic books, and I want to share that love.
I'll start. Concrete is a series I love and admire. It's unique and quaint, but adventurous, character driven, and exploratory.
Tell me about the comics that make you love comics.

If you haven't read Scout yet then you should do so immediately.

Just looked it up/keeping seeing it in the win-o pastebin.
Looks really unique and read. Downloading now, will probably jump into after Nexus. Thanks anon.

For fans of Transmetropolitan, this is a series that just started that is perfect if you follow politics at all. 2016 election might actually have some sort of megademon involved.
>Citizen Jack

I really like the art style of a quick google on Concrete. Is it finished or still on going?

>written by the Dogfucker
I remain unconvinced.

Eclipse and First were both putting out some good shit in the 80's
Badger is great

The Humans is my favorite ongoing comic. It's an outlaw biker story set in what is essentially Planet of the Apes
>>78377978
It's written by Humphries, known for his comic "Our Love is Real" about a violent future cop who fucks dogs and falls in love with a trap that sexes crystals.
It's the closest thing he's had to a good comic, outside of that he's only written some pretty lame stuff for Marvel.

It's pretty fucking awesome, have you caught up with it?
I want to pick up the trade next chance I get, the art is fantastic.

Just read a preview to it. Definitely gonna have to add this to my list. This shit looks absurdly fucked up.
>>78378050
I suppose it's possible he might actually do something worth reading, Our Love is Real could almost be satire. Maybe corporate work's just holding him back.

Citizen Jack has only had two issues so far, and so far it's pretty entertaining. The main character is basically Donald Trump running for president if he were a fuck-up instead of a real-estate magnate.
>>78377813
It's finished, it's not an incredibly long series. I believe it's about 7? Medium sized trades. Great stuff, art is beautiful throughout
>>78378027
I haven't read the most recent issue
>>78378105
It's a hell of a ride man. I don't know where it leaves the series, the ending it kinda ambiguous about what the next step will be. That's kinda why I want to pick up the trade.

>I believe it's about 7? Medium sized trades
That sounds right. There is the core series that's 10 issues and after that it was just released in miniseries.
I found the Earth Day Special issue which is pretty cool because it had a back up by Moebius.
