It still seems pretty simplistic. If anything, it's gotten more simplistic compared to the middle arc of the show, back when Pumpkin's romance was blossoming with Squib and Wanda was a big mystery.

I appreciated that Red Squib has had the blue wand blotch on it since Baman whacked him with it before it broke it. Then it was on his foot this episode when he hatched. The continuity they keep is kind of quietly incredible.
