I don't like the progression of Johnny's character.
First it was bully who says funny things and is self aware in his role because all the characters are quip machines.
Then it was bully who is nice to his friends and believes in the power of teamwork and friendship in regards to him and his fellow bad kids being bad kids.
Now it's just Johnny is really a nice guy and all events in which he's a bully is just the fact he's such a hyper aggressive(ly friendly) child.
Johny's shift exemplifies this really weird shift that the comic gradually took in terms of character design and personality for the cast. Art and character design can be forgiven because it's been years comics change but the way these kids act is jarring considering it's been like a week(or under a month I'm sure) since the comic started.

Sometimes I dream about Paranatural.
Not Paranatural itself, with plot events and shit, but I see myself sitting in front of my computer, staring at the archive page he never updates or the comments that don't exist anymore. And Zack's there, in my house and barely clothed, telling me my internet doesn't work. I try to fix it for him and crawl around messing with my router cables and shit, ignoring the fact that he's staring at my ass. It takes awhile but I'm finish resetting the router. So I turn around and see his aching hand shoved in front of of my face, and he's flexing his wrist with his huge thumb nearly prodding me on the nose. Zack's towering over me with an expecting and contemptuous look. No words spoken, only actions I do half out of passion, half out of respect and half out of fear. Eyes closed, fingers massaging his wrist and lips sucking on his aching Nintendo-playing thumb, I tell myself everything will be okay, that Hitball will be over soon, Ed will get screentime and Isaac will have it out with Max and make up after some crazy plot bullshit. After an eternity, I open my eyes just again just in time for Zack to blow his load all over my face. While I'm whimpering on the floor he leans closer to my ear and whispers, "Paranatural will never update again" in a Charlton Heston-sort-of voice.
I wake up with a boner.
