Animated. Prime starts out decent but it turns to trash by the end of season 2 and you'll feel extremely underwhelmed by the end.
Animated. I couldn't get into Prime, and most of the time I don't care for Transformers from a fictional standpoint, but Animated had a good balance. Also, I enjoyed the human villains as well as the Transformer based ones, made it feel like it was Detroit instead of 'what if Cybertron were actually just quarries'.

Prime is terrible all around.

Animated. Better characters, overall better story and more fun (if you prefer a more comedic take over serious business).

Honestly, the action isn't that great either. They always try to jam too much into one fight. First let's shoot at each other, now let's swordfight, now fisticuffs! Occasionally you get something creative like Optimus using his wheels on his legs to grind on Megatron's face, but those moments are far and few in between.

Not that guy, but while I'll agree Prime's death is great, the movie as a whole not so much...third season IMO was a bit of a let down considering like it seemed like there was going to be some huge storyline with the Predacons and we didn't get that

It wasn't that bad, just rushed and jumped from predacons to earth being cyberformed again without any break. But that's more of the fault of Hasbro or whoever pulling the plug on the show, as it was said the team behind it wanted to do at least 5 seasons and THEN a movie

I never said I enjoyed watching the Unicron Trilogy - it's awful, with only a small handful of good moments. I DID say I would rather watch THAT again instead of re-watching TF:Animated.
