Not at all. It varies between serious and completely silly with the regularity of a metronome, though. You can have a student trying to seduce her mutilated professor, with all the pathos and ethical problems, and a few pages later the group tries to create an army of golems with MRE biscuits because they're harder than steel.
Quite well written, and very well drawn. The pop references are a bit overwhelming from time to time and some dialogs and the flow on certain parts could be a bit more polished, but nothing too detrimental to the story.

I wouldn't really say there was lots of fanservice, there was lots of nudity sure but it wasn't hogging the spotlight. Most of the time, it's group nudity in riots or whatever.
The main cast gets decently hot moments but they're the main cast after all.
