Sometimes I look in these threads because you know these have been popping up for a while (all the way back to Johnny Johnny) and you'd figure someone would make a big post cracking the code but nobody has ever really given me a solid answer to why these exist.
A vast majority of the nursery rhyme videos are all of Indian origin with millions of views and I do not know if they're trying to actually make money via Youtube by hitting every possible demographic or if they truly are just the product of thousands of scummy "children's education" companies from India who make them for ???
Then you have the ones like the guy who just makes videos of custom GTA maps where he plays as Batman and he drives Cars (the movie Cars' cars mind you) down a big ramp with various subtle changes like one NPC being spongebob. Now that's not necessarily being produced by someone in a third world country but it's still hitting all these check marks for buzzwords to get a million views.
But what I question (and what it comes down to) is why these videos actually have "effort" put into them. If it was truly just a means to get millions and millions of views by hitting tags like "minions" or "Spongebob" or "Frozen" you don't have to make a five minute long video featuring (apparently) original animation you just have to have FROZEN ELSA SPONGEBOB CHRISTMAS in the title.
Take https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KoZ1leplTE for example. He's also trying to rake in on the popularity of certain things but there's a rhyme and reason to this weird shitty animation he made.

Because if he were a Youtube Partner, Youtube would have to look into where all his views are coming from. It's not outright proven but it can be assumed he's purchased a bot service to sit down and increase the number of views and the number of time watched on his channel artificially.
GradeAUnderA does a great job exposing him. If some asshole can do it then some foreign guys can take the simplest stupidest public domain songs, tack on well-known copyrighted characters, and claim it's educational under Fair Use law.
