Honestly...Asami's affection toward Korra was really more abandonment issues/codependency than it was actual love. Makorra ate up a lot of screentime, but the more they interacted, the less anyone wanted them to get together.
And I still feel that the switch from Mako being abrasive to her to Mako caring for Korra AND ONLY Korra was rushed and terribly handled.
In a way Korrasami has the advantage of barely existing. It couldn't be as annoying as Makorra that way. We still have the illusion that it might be a good character interaction. At least until the comics come out.

I guess we'll just have to disagree. To me Korrasami is far worse than Makorra (which was indeed handled like shit aswell). Makorra to me i superior because it actually existed, whereas i can't really buy that illusion you talk about. There's no way in my mind that Korrasami would work, and it would be based on extremely toxic personality problems from both people. I can even suspend my disbelief for Makorra because at the very least Mako is somewhat good looking, and so is Korra, so in that way it makes somewhat sense. Korrasami doesn't even have that imo.
