The puppet sex was extended to get past the MPAA because they knew it would get an NC17 tag. Once they removed the extra stuff they didn't really want they the R rating back for a scene that would've gotten the NC17 rating on its own. Fucking genius.

Walked out of this movie it was so shit. Went to the box office and asked if they could get me my money back, but they said after a half hour they could not. The dialogue was so awful. "I have feelings for you!" If it wasn't hiding behind puppets it would be on The Room's level of terrible romantic nonsense. I felt so embarrassed the entire time I was in the theater on opening day. Still want my money back.

If anything, it's a parody of Islamophobia.
