Class pets interest me because like kanaya has said it seems like some are suited for the role and some have to grow into their role as a challange.
Classpects (specifically, aspects) are what interest me the most; it's pretty easy to conclude lands just symbolically the ways a player needs to grow as a person; that's nice and all, but you really can't go from there. Aspects, on the other hand, are really cool because they're like the MtG color system; trying to figure out what parts of the world are described by each aspect is pretty fun. It's a shame a ton of aspects don't really have an important character to give us any big development.
Also, @ your image; Sollux and Eridan, being teenagers who were actually in concupiscent relationships on Planet Screw or Die, almost certainly aren't virgins.

I really liked the alchemy thing. I wanted to see it in the tabletop RPGs as " combine two +1 items, get a +2 item". You could eventually get very powerful items but the cost would grow exponentially. (+0 items are practically free, +1 items are a token sum, +2 items are +1x2, +3 items are +1x4, +4 items are +1x8, etc etc)
For an RPG that is less crunch more narrative, alchemizing items would combine their adjectives. Mixing a "sharp fork" and "heavy spoon" would get you a "sharp heavy spork". More powerful weapons would have a ridiculous number of adjectives, making them bizarre and unwieldy ("sharp heavy loud tuning two-handed singing flaming axolotl")

You're a random kid in a random house, full of random objects and a random backstory. For the first part of the game you mess with the machinery and create your sprite, fighting imp/whatevers. In the second part, you travel to the different randomly generated lands and quest among the randomly generated civilizations if there are any, you level up and do whatever you're supposed to do in sburb. Then after you fight your randomly generated denizen, you team up with the other players and win at chess or whatever random hijinks occur on this session and the game congratulates you on your victory.
No scratched timelines, no timetraveling trolls, no players from a different session.
Something like this could be almost infinitely replayable if done right, just imagine.
