Yeah, even if she isn't good by any means it's been shown that she has a certain concept of honor. First of all she said it directly, "I respected your tactics", then she waited for Garnet to finish talking before attacking.
While I can't see her chaingg to the "good" side, I can totaly see her betraying her superiors if she perceives them as weaklings or honorless. Kind of like the mutant father from that Alucard anime.

Revealing the author of the journals, in my opinion, is the equivalence of a main villain dying. Once it happens, the story is over. If you keep going, it feels like you're just dragging the audience along and demanding they still be interested despite most of the allure being gone now.

this. so much this. I don't understand the point of her character at all. She was introduced with the implication of being an antagonist, and she quickly went to being the lackey of the lackey of the main antagonist that we have yet to even see.
Like honestly, this is one of the few shows where I became disinterested in it when the plot was starting to thicken. I know its not entirely the fault of the writers and SU creative team, but still when new episodes come out so unfrequent and when they do its just filler and more Peridot goofyness with the gems, it gets a tad boring. I want to see more world building and lore, ya know, the thing the fanbase talks about so much but is hardly ever actually built upon in the show.
