I learned of this movie through /co/ and it's hella cute. It's apparently by the same company that made Panique Au Village which I recommend though its pure comedy with absurdist humor.
I haven't read the French books but I assume in them that Ernest is more of a father figure who adopted Celestine. I interpreted their relation in this movie more like best friends with an age gap. You can love someone without having a lust for them

You missed the threads that were happening last year. We spent much time discussing the dub and when the English dub was going to arrive.
ProTip: If you haven't listened to the English Dub (and you are natively English), you should definitely do that. It's at least equal to the original French dub, and in my opinion, notably better.
