No, he planned fucking everything. Everybody said he was miserable and shit but did he seem sad? Now tell me, does a man singing like that seem sad to you? Of course not, he was happy as ever and he played it as being the silly old forgetful old man but he knew. I bet if grandma never came back, he would've poisoned Cousin Mel for winning all those games of cards and who would suspect him? He's just an old man with Alzheimer's. People would probably suspect Mel's lawyer for doing it, or the business man for all the money. But no, grandpa did it to get the shop back AND get revenge for Mel winning those card games. And even when grandma came back, he still won. He got his old bitch back and still gets a decent profit from her shop, not to mention Mel's probably serving a long time in prison.
