Except I did. I had no problem with Hater getting distracted by Wander because Wander is the main character. He has motives, he and his dynamic with Hater has been established since the very first episode, and he's doing it for the sake of befriending Hater (something that has even more weight after the episode with Jeff). Hater just instantly spilling spaghetti over this blatant Mary Sue, without the writers even contemplating having him be like "oh no, she's hot! but wait, I hater her! what do?!", is just bland and uninspired. Aside from the live action segments in "The New Toy", I found the episode disappointing and Hater extremely annoying. When you have a character going gaga over a new hot girl who has no personality, a design that doesn't match any other characters', and is good at everything, it reeks of self-insert fanfiction. I also don't care for how annoying she's made Wander, either. This entire romantic arc was a bad idea.

Once they make her less of a Sue, there will be less things to complain about, and therefore friendlier threads. They've also basically said this romance thing won't work out for Hater, so once they drop it, people will be less annoyed with the show. Though I still saw people complain about Dominator almost immediately after she was revealed to be a girl, so she'll probably always be controversial.
