When we talk about shipping, we're pretty much disregarding canon. All the canon ships suck.
Homestuck is ded. It used to be plastered everywhere but I haven't seen anything in months. This hiatus was far too long, a lot of the fanbase has moved on to Steven Universe and Undertale.
You can only take so long to update before you become irrelevant. Taking the hiatus was a huge mistake that Hussie will pay dearly for.

I was looking forward to the full backstory of the ancestors, because I thought they were the first set of Trolls growing up in a different time at first. The dynamics would have been really poignant, given what we know about their relationships as kids (similar to how Rose's Mom turned into the saddest character of this comic for me after the introduction of Roxy).
Then the Dancestors were introduced and I ended up not giving a single fuck about any of them except for Meenah, and that only because she was plot-relevant. The immense indifference I had for that set of characters retroactively killed any interest I had for the fate of the ancestors. I seriously wanted every single one of their adult selves to die a horrible death.
