How was Hank in the wrong?
I wouldn't want some random old bitch to die in my house
>>
>it's a hank did nothing wrong episode
I'm almost finished marathoning the series and I could name 20 of those episodes if I looked back, and 5 episodes off the top of my head

>Hank will never choke you with his gigantic balls
>>
I always loved the episode where Hank, his mother and all her friends got trapped on spring break
>>
>Everyone is overly critical of Hank only when the plot requires it

man do I love people being stupid for no reason other than to have the viewers agree with Hank for once
>>
>>78163865
I actually really do like that episode. It was an interesting and unique look at how housewives cope with abusive husbands, and it showed that Hank was really his mother's son - he's autistic about propane the way she is about figurines.

It just needed a solid B-plot and it'd be a classic.
>>
I haven't seen this one in years, but I think in-episode they first saw Hank apparently manhandling some random old lady with a walker, and then almost tuned out his explanation for why he did it. Except Dale, who tried to profit off it, but still.

It's kind of unnecessary for the episode to have everyone turn against Hank, though, when the main point just seemed to be "isn't what she wants pretty fucked up?" Like added drama when the most basic plot could stand on its own.
>>
If someone dies in your house it has to be reported and if you want to ever sell the house you are then required to disclose that someone died in the residence, which lowers the value of the property.
>>
He was totally right.

She was just nuts.
>>
>>78168563
Right, the whole point of the scene at the part when Hank finally relents was to show how hypocritical everyone else was being, and how selfish and needlessly grim Ms. Wakefield was being. Hence why everyone got all uncomfortable as soon as they actually saw what Hank was being forced to accept.
>>
>>78168563

Yeah, when it was shown from the Hill's point of view it's shown to be creepy and odd, but all the neighbors see is him messing with soe old lady for some reason.
>>
>>78163822

Makes me cringe everytime.
>>
>>78169543
No, he has a narrow urethra, not a tiny dick.
>>
>>78163514
Hank is almost never in the wrong, that's basically the premise of the show. Hank has to deal with his idiotic and horrible friends, neighbors and family. The only people who seem to have a grip on anything is Boomhauer, Connie, and in the later seasons, Bobby.

You don't know how much I love this scene, and I can't tell you why I love it, because I don't even know.

ALSO
>top tier elderfu Betty White being ornery old bitch

Yea, that episode was GOAT.

Was the B plot of that episode Bill trying to woo Peggy? If that was the episode than forget you man, that was hilarious.

in real life, the neighbors would NOT interrupt hank every 5 seconds, and he'd be able to say his piece, and they'd understand and avoid a day-long misunderstanding. Thse neighbors, who hank has earned their trust for 10-20+ years

Of course, you wouldn't get an episode with REAL LOGIC. So it's moot
>>

He wasn't wrong. It was his house
>>
Peggy, Mihn, and Luanne for best wives.
>>
>>78170121
Bobbys a kid so you can let him go on most things.

The character I hate the most is Khan. Awful liberal strawman that isn't even done correctly.
>>
>>78163514
She just wants to fucking die in her childhood home. Literally something has died on every square inch of this planet.
>>
>>78170946
funnily my favorite wife is mihn, cause she's hot and devious
>>

Why on earth would you think Khan is liberal?
>>
>>78169543
Big dick, narrow urethra.
>>
>>78170987
He reads newsweek and makes Khannie read news week
>>
>>78170121
Are you nuts? The entire point of the show is that while Hank is a good man who's mostly together, his naive view of how the world is/should be is incompatible with the actual flaws and hypocrisies people who share his values have, and the qualities those who don't might have. That's why things like a local politician being slightly crooked rock his world.
>>
>>78163514
really, he wasn't wrong
if you want the opposite of that situation (Hank was in the wrong but they treated him like he was right) then look for the episode where bobby joined the baseball team
>>
people saying he was wrong:

YOU let this happen and the old lady dies in your house. What do you do then? Is the corpse and funeral then in your hands? Having to go through hoops and headaches to contact the proper authorities and services? Would you REALLY want that just to be "right"?

fuck that old hag, get the fuck off my property, and fuck my "Friends" too. Cops in real life would NOT laugh at hank for calling them up.
>>
My favorite was when Hank went to the liberal familys house where they let their underage son drink and it was so overwhelming for Hank.

Another good one was when bobby rode on the back of that preppy girls bike and hank almost had a stroke

>That episode where Dale gets his finger cut off while Hank is trying to repair his own house that Dale ruined the foundation of and then psychologically tortures Hank for the remainder of the episode

Dale was the worst friend, Bill may have been horribly pathetic but the sheer horribleness of what Dale often did to fuck Hank over was unmatched
>>
>>78170946
But Khan's not liberal. The show has tons of strawmen liberals, almost always of the "asshole of the day" variety, but Khan isn't one of them.

Khan's just that one asshole neighbor that thinks he's better than you and wants to show off.
>>
>>78171106
Dale's a pretty awful person in general. Even his few saving graces, like being a caring father, don't really hold up that well.
>>
>>78171149
Dale is /pol/ combined with /x/ combined with tumblr
>>
>>78171169
He was a lot more /pol/ in the beginning when he was a straight up right-winger. I don't know why, but they ended up changing him to just general nutjob.
>>
>>78171077
>Is the corpse and funeral then in your hands?
If you die in walmart do they have to pay restitution to your family?
>>
>>78170887
agreed
>>78171001
makes sense.
>>
>>78171225
They probably thought there was more potential for humor in "I buy alien urine!" style craziness than in "the government's coming to take our guns" style craziness.
>>
>>78171235
Regardless of whether they're legally obligated, Walmart would probably give the family money anyway to keep them quiet and avoid any legal or PR issues.
>>
Who else thought that Bill should have stayed with Rev. Strope.
>>
>>78171235
Depends on if the death was caused by Walmart. If someone wanders into a Walmart and dies for reasons unrelated to them being in a Walmart then probably not. Though they might give you something to score some good PR.
>>
>>78171910
>Bill
>Knowing the touch of a woman for a prolonged period of time
Heh heh. No.
>>
>>78171225
>>78171249
Yeah, I didn't see it so much as a deliberate change so much as a transition along the lines of"he's a right-wing nut who believes in some conspiracy theories, he probably also believes in aliens and shit too," and then from there to "he already believes in aliens, he's probably just fuckin crazy."

The right-wing angle was there from the beginning to the end, but sort of lost focus because aliens/crazy is just easier to write.
>>
>>78171910
Bill should have gotten his cousin-harem in the arlem beer contest episode.
>>
>>78171953
I don't know. They looked like a cute couple.
>>
>>78172283
Only one of them was actually his cousin.
>>
>>78172461
Thats whats good about it.
>>
>>78170887
Now I'm wondering how a harem with this three would work.
>>
>>78172558
>All 3 of them constantly bitch at you for stupid shit
>Fight with each other and expect you to referee
>No one puts out except Luanne
>>
>>78172623
They get along better than you think. I think things would go well.
>>
>>78170887
I bet Peggy has killer T&A
>>
>>78172836
Nah. Luanne will annoy the shit out of both of them (especially Minh) if they actually have to deal with her bullshit more directly.
>>
>>78171045

But he was kind of right. Bobby wasn't a good player, at least in that episode. And the coach was just pandering to him like he was retarded instead of giving him actual coaching.
>>
>>78171910
Least they gave an in plot reason for that relationship to end, meanwhile Bill's relationship with the former Texas governor Ann Richards just stops because fuck it.
>>
>>78171045
Or that time Hank wanted Bobby to get his ass kicked by McMaynerbury just for being the Arlen's team's mascot.
>>
>>78173928
To be fair, they were playing against McMaynerbury.
MCMANERBURY
Without Bobby getting his butt handed to them, there was no way the team would win.
>>
>>78169361
Maybe its just me but I don't get the idea behind a residence loosing value if someone died in it. What about this home sucks extra hard if someone passed away peacefully within its walls?
>>
>>78173986
Still spoopy.
>>
>>78171910
he should have permanently hooked up with Khan's mom

They wouldn't have been able to Crush Rushford that's for sure.
>>
>>78163514
>How was Hank in the wrong?
He wasn't
But as the years went by, the writers got lazy and pulled weak plots like this.
>>
>>78171045
The soccer episode is like that too.
>Hank gets his psychotic coach Sours to coach the football team
>Bobby sees that this is wrong and people will get hurt so he switches over to soccer
>Hank disapproves and lies about what Bobby is doing, also comes up with bullshit reasons soccer is bad.
>Eventually Bobby tires of Soccer being played non competitively?
>It's okay because he brought Joseph with him back to Football
>Hank was right all along?
>>
>>78171077
>Cops in real life would NOT laugh at hank for calling them up.
Firstly, they didn't laugh at him in the episode either, they were just kinda shocked and annoyed because when he called to ask for them to remove a trespasser, he neglected to mention said intruder was a little old lady, for obvious reasons.

Secondly, you are SEVERELY underestimating the jackassery of the average American cop. They're basically the highest authority figure most people will deal with in their day-to-day life, and have the best job security on the planet. If they don't wanna give a fuck, they won't. I'll bet you thought the episode where Hank calls the cops on his neighbor the NFL pro and they just laugh and befriend the big asshole was unrealistic too, huh?
>>
>>78175554
I was on the soccer team back in high school. I have never even heard of a coach like that faggot.
>>
>>78174440

That's because at season 7, I think, Greg Daniels and Mike Judge decreased their involvement in the show and passed it onto someone who deliberately cut down the character and plot development of the earlier series and turned it into a repetitive sitcom.
>>
>>78175554

You're misremembering the episode. Did you forget the part when Hank finally realized that people were leaving because coach Sours was being aggresively hard on the kids, and so Hank stepped in to coach himself? and that another main reason that Bobby went back to football was because he can finally spend more time with his father?
>>
>>78173919

No, that one stopped because his ex-wife returned and he foolishly went back to her like everything was magically restored to normal after years of agonizing pain and depression. Granted, it's a shame Ann didn't consider letting their relationship try to continue anew.

You want to talk about "fuck it" to a relationship, look at the one with Kahn's mom. Oh sure, they mention her in ONE episode, but she's never seen again and Bill clearly isn't with anyone not too long after.
>>
>>78178511

It kind of is, retard. Some cops may be on a power trip, but they can only get away with so much shit without being on entirely corrupt force. And no, no cop would befriend a low-class celeb and ignore shit if an entire goddamn is able to get on their case and have their precinct disciplined for failing at their job.
>>
Man, King of the Hill threads really are some of the comfiest threads on /co/

I'm not much of a right winger myself, but I do like KotH just for showing how insanely stupid any radical right, or left winger can come across.

The episode with the jackass neighbor kid who was bullying Hank was annoying though.

Same with the scouting episode.
>>
>>78179629
>I'm not much of a right winger myself, but I do like KotH just for showing how insanely stupid any radical right, or left winger can come across.

At its best, the show was never about politics. It was about characters. It was about people with their own personalities and ways of dealing with life, ways that were sometimes parodied and sometimes celebrated.

This balance is something Mike Judge forgot when he made The Goode Family, which was just about how hippie liberals are dumb.
