Seth Macfarlane is the 2nd worst, Parker and Stone are the worst though.
He's a pretty decent voice actor actually. It's hard to make several characters talk over each other especially if you voice all of them. Not to mention the duets

Seth at his best is mediocre chuckle worthy humor. I don't even find the first Ted to really be that bad but extremely mediocre (Ted 2 and million ways to die in the west sucked). Honestly a lot of Seth's writing is just references, you can tell when Seth's written something because it's filled with them. It's the OTHER FG writers that add all the other bullshit into the show like domestic abuse and gory shit. Seth on his own is honestly fairly innocent and nothing special writing wise.
That being said, Matt and Trey get too much praise for most of the time just blurting out the obvious. They're obviously smart but I wouldn't call them amazing writers ether. A lot of SP episodes can only be watched once because the impact wares off and they're extremely topical and political. I wouldn't really call most of SP episodes timeless. It's a step up obviously but the fanbase makes out each episode to be fucking masterpieces.
Both fanbases are fucking cancerous. SP fans thinking they're above everyone and FG fans needlessly defending a show that's WAY past it's prime.

Yeah, no. Trey Parker has been a songwriter & fan of musicals all his life - he already had experience writing music from Cannibal! The Musical, South Park & its movie. Also, Bob Lopez was already an established musical theater writer/composer with a hit musical, Avenue Q.
Matt is also a very competent musician.
