JUST.
DO IT.

>CGI Jeff Bridges

Who thought this was a good idea?

Also, why is Quorra in the real world at the end?
>>
>>78124731
Go away, Clu. Your movie failed and your TV show got canceled. TRON as a franchise is done.

Not since they cancelled the third movie.
>>

No she wasn't. The ISOs manifested themselves.

Take note
>>
>>78125153
At the very least, her real world body is probably made out of his dad's molecules since the "zap you into the computer" laser was actually a teleporter being misused.
>>
>>78125069

You realize how fucking pathetic you are, right? That you're so braindead and unoriginal you actually take the effort to avoid a filter just to continue spouting your shit memes?

God, I don't know what it is about seeing "c.uck" that makes me see red but I get unbelievably pissed at it every single time.
>>
>>78125108
The entire reason the ISO's were special was because no one created them, they were a naturally occuring digital lifeform.
>>
>>78125298
I also have this reaction. I think it's because it's on an entirely new level of stupid.
>>
>>78124731
YEaah?
>>
>>78124731
No it's fine man. We're taking a break. Indefinitely.
I'm going to spend time in the human world with my human son, who I love. Sort of like some of my other creations, except more. Because he's human. In the human world. Which I'm going to.
Well, I'm off.

Well the idea is that the mass you get back isn't particularly your molecules, its just uh..mass.
Ship of Theseus problem and all that.

>tfw thought this movie would be the shit
>It was just shit

I really had my hopes up for this movie, but the plot was a huge letdown. It wanted to be too big.

Tron: Uprising was 10/10, though. They needed to have that series go first and build up to a live-action film, albeit one with a better plot.

Also does Quorra age now or is she immortal? Users aged in digital space, but that's because they were still composed of real-life parts. Quorra's just essentially a hard-light construct of AI code.
>>
>>78125787
>Quorra's just essentially a hard-light construct
Pretty sure the device transfers things into regular matter, she should age or she would not feel the warmth of the sun and the touch of hugging and all that
>>
>>78125901
How does that work, then? The implications are pretty outstanding.

Quorra isn't a human and isn't rooted in the biological means of creating a body. The device has taken real objects into the Grid, but never taken something native to the Grid out before her. How did it know how to construct her?
>>
>>78126142
There is a theory that the device used Bridge's leftover biological data

Well, a reformatted version of his body yeah
>>
>>78126226
When Captain Picard gets a cup of tea out of the hole in the wall, he's drinking the ship's refuse out of a cup made of the ship's refuse.

That's how teleporter tech works, bro.
>>
>>78125901
>>78125787

I have no idea how computers work, but Jeff Bridge's "biodigital jazz, man" rhetoric gave me the impression that ISOs have something akin to biological informational systems, ie DNA to RNA to Proteins, that could be translated into our material reality.

So when brought to our world, and has her "information pattern" or whatever stored in the form of molecules composed of carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, etc. she is a biological lifeform, just not one descended from the single biological genesis that all animals, plants, fungi, bacteria, etc. are descended from. Which is why their existence is such a really big deal.
>>
>>78125037

I must be the only one who thinks CGI Jeff Bridges worked perfectly.
>>
>>78124731
Jeff Bridges kills Jeff Bridges on a bridge.
>>
Why did young Jeff Bridges look so fucking weird in TRON and young Michael Douglas looked so perfect in Ant-Man?

Did the tech really improve that much?

>>78126582
yes

>tfw they rerezzed Clu
>and made him a fucking villain

For what purpose?
>>
>>78126459
I think the effect still largely holds up. Although it does look increasingly dodgy as years go by, it actually sort of works in the movies favor - because we rarely see young Flynn, it's usually CLU who it makes sense that he'd be slightly off.
>>
I still love Flynn's baffled "...b'yeah?" in response to that.
>>
>>78126605
Didn't Clu die in like the first five minutes of the original movie?
>>
>>78126660
I mean, Clu's sporting that old orange-red duds...Flynn ain't no dummy.
Nice scene haha
