I actually liked that it let Charlie Brown win. Gives the franchise a sense of closure despite the movie functioning as a reboot of sorts. And since a sequel is unlikely, it's just as well. Schulz family members in charge of the estate said it'd probably take another eight years just to hammer out the deal and story for a second one, Fox only had the rights to do one.
