Actually I was planning on giving a more substantive update on the progress with both Homestuck and Hiveswap around the end of the year. I'm working on both at the same time right now, so it's keeping me very busy. But progress is going well for both. I'll probably be in a better position to say when Homestuck will update by the end of the year. I'll also have a better collection of materials to show for a Hiveswap update by then too. Progress on the game has been looking great. I've just been very focused on getting work done, so I haven't really had much time to organize a meaningful update. Check back in a few weeks though, and there should be something to see. Thanks for the patience!

I'm scared for the comic, but I'm at least 2x more scared for hiveswap, yet I think Hussie will be able to pull it off. For as much as a reserved bullshitter he is, I don't think his ego would in any way let him lie to the extent that this newspost would suggest if it all crashed and burned. Let me paint you a picture /co/.
A man sits in a chair in the middle of his room, lit only by the faint blue glow of is computer screen. That man is Hussie, 8 months from now. He uploaded the last page of Homestuck 2 months ago, just in time for the release of his videogame called Hiveswap. A decent game, mostly rated 7 out of 10, Hussie was happy with it, at least as happy as someone can get with a meal he cooks out of scraps in his pantry because someone literally stole all his foodstuffs.
The man stares at his screen as the homestuck thread on /co/ reaches its bump limit. He is sad, because he knows this is the last time anyone will ever talk about his work. He is restless, is days feel empty. Work used to be his reason for being, his purpose is life but now the work has left leaving behind a lack of meaning, a void of purpose. Now he fills his days lurking on degenerate boards and eating salad.
He wishes he'd have the courage to start a new project, 'surely that would make the emptiness go away' he mutters to himself but his digitizer is far away. He can see it sitting in his desk, dull and uncaring and proud, yet now matter how many times he tries to reach for it he cannot, like a man that has been pranked too many a time and is now afraid to use his toothpaste. And so he settles for just looking at it, hoping the strength to use it will someday arrive.
