Those 3 always have No-Commentary walkthroughs of games the day they come out (sometimes even more). I've watched them for years and they always deliver. (Gameplay can be wonky if they're not familiar with the series, but they upload FAST)
The latter always has the first part be around 2-3 hours, just because he can.
As for the commentary on cartoons - again, they do it because it's easy views. It doesn't require much editing and they know whatever fanbase they already have will lap it up.

That's not what let's plays are for, that's what walkthroughs are for. Let's Plays are supposed to simulate playing vidya with friends irl except I don't have any so I watch lets plays. It's also a type of review that takes place as the game is progressing instead of after.

I think that one Kid Icarus Uprising Let's Play is a good example of a good Let's Play. The guy playing it is knowledgeable enough about the game that you can learn all sorts of random shit about the game even if you've played it before.
