There were some good shows, and some bad shows, but it was the era where the people who currently dominate Facebook/Youtube grew up, and stopped loving every cartoon they watched. They assumed that it must mean that the cartoons were shit, when they just got taste. They proceed to spew shit about how cartoons are irredeemably shit despite never having seen half of the stuff that's on, and certainly not the good stuff.

Poor network decisions around the mid 00s, but even then we've still gotten some decent shows on a fairly regular basis with a recent upswing in content quality across most networks.
>>
the mid 2000s are affected by the weeaboo-like style, CGI & flash shit

It was pretty bad though.

Why is no one talking about the change to digital animation and how tempting it is for companies to make super cheap and garbage animation.
>>
I agree, brother. All this show reminds me, is an era when networks actually cared about the quality of their shows. When cartoons were meant for both children AND adults, instead of specifically targeting at the former. They had innuendos and adult jokes that went over kids' heads. People used to care about their craft once.

Now? All we have is lolsorandumb shit, trying to half-assedly aim at kids with fart jokes and toilet humor. I remember having a discussion with my family during dinner one day about this decline in animation. We were watching a Gravity Falls promo, and we all groaned. It lead to a great discussion about 90's cartoons and movies.

Older cartoons (prior to 2004) had soul, heart, and were timeless. Modern cartoons only try to appeal to a superficial audiences and trends. Really describes our current society as a whole. People are getting dumber, music is getting shittier, and artistic vision has damn near died off.

Bottom line, this shit sucks. Television nowadays is run by hacks who don't care. That's all.

My Gym Partner's A Monkey was decently funny. I think most people here haven't even watched it and are jumping on the bandwagon.
