Magneto has killed a lot of people (he is a villain after all, it goes with the territory) but I feel the need to point out that a lot of what you just said is completely wrong.
First of all, the antimutant hysteria was extremely prevalent well before Eric became Magneto. The incident that pushed him over the edge was when an antimutant mob torched his house and (as far as he was aware at the time) killed his children. He certainly added to the paranoia but measured against the existing level of antimutant sentiment his contributions were comparatively minor.
Second, the sentinels weren't created as a response to Magneto. Anthropologist Bolivar Trask created them because his studies in anthropology indicated that mutants would replace baseline humans as the dominant species on earth. He was looking at the species as a whole rather than as individuals and only started to look at mutants on an individual scale after the X-Men saved him from his own out of control creations.
Third, Magneto isn't responsible for Wanda's actions. Wanda and Pietro are both adults and are capable of making their own decisions, plus it was Pietro who pushed Wanda into using her powers to restructure reality. Also, Marvel recently decided to reopen the great big can of worms that is Wanda and Pietros true parentage. Magneto is no longer their father Marvel has spoken.
Unfortunately this has defined her character for like a decade now.

But Kyle and Yost's quality wasn't any better, except of something mostly harmless we got a murderous prelude to their X-Force (which actually was better but that's beside the point). Most characters who weren't put on a literal and absolutely illogical bus forgot all about their development and became huge assholes, and the remaining few - well, yeah, they actually were pretty good. IIRC, Hellion and Elixir were the only two being anywhere near the center of attention with X-23 being in it all the damn time. Their quality was definitely better! After some initial "all my friends are dead" angering and arguing, everyone except David/Nori got along way better than they had before, and the Hellions shifted more towards the focus as they should have been right from the start. Dialogue and character interaction got snappier and smoother, staff started acting more like adults, plots started making some form of coherent sense AND became something more than just "high school, but with shitty asshole kids who have superpowers!" Focus could definitely have stood to shift off X-23 though.
