DC Editorial has very little vision for the character and has no desire to make her relevant or interesting. They don't want a challenging, complex Wonder Woman with memorable stories, they want an action figure they can pose and boast about as an icon, no matter how dusty she is.

Every time a new run comes, the writer sees fit to try to make their own new set of villains. Azzarello was no different with his First Born and redesigned Gods.

Depends on the writer and the situation really, she can struggle psychologically when it comes to war and violence, because she loves and promote peace, which is difficult to do when you have to do the right thing for the good of everyone, this is a theme that other heroes can't touch ad good as her, in Azzarello's run she wasn't a perfect being, and when she has an argument with Superman he can stick out as a better person sometimes.

In cape comics the only one who sucks is the writer, characters change a lot based on who write them, you can say the same thing about any other major superhero really, but in the end they are only tools, no cape character is shitty to his core.

No, both of these are jobbing, Superman and Diana are in the same class of power, same thing goes for Thor and Sentry, it's not the fact that they lost, but the fact that it was so easy, Wonder Woman had the edge against an all-out Superman when Max Lord mind controlled him, both of them can win on the other depending on what the writer wants, but winning so easily is jobbing. It wouldn't be jobbing if Diana lost against The Spectre or Darkseid so easily, because they are on another level.

But that's not the point, I think we could assume that fighters here have enough power to quickly do serious harm to another, once they land a good hit. All that matters is who's faster and more skilled, and we can argue here of course (Batman's Hussein Bolt - Bruce Lee comparison), but their defenses aren't enough to hold hits dealt in this combat. Yeah, it's pretty dumb that Thor in "god business" is so much more powerful than just on Earth. But on the other hand, he would be impossible to use otherwise if we transferred blows-cracking-nearby-moons to a fight with Wrecking Crew or even Ultron. I'm sure it happens to most of the characters doing "cosmic stuff" save Surfer as he was always established as a being much more powerful than most of Earth's heroes and villains.
