Is this the only show to have two characters get together for good without the writing going downhill or one of them needing to disappear?
90s Spider-Man had Peter and Mary Jane getting together for a while, but then they had to have that plotline where Mary Jane went missing.
I don't recall Alex, Clover or Sam getting a boyfriend for more than one or two episodes before they broke up for unknown reasons offscreen.
Clover once got together with a WOOHP agent, but he was reassigned to Australia and he later broke up with her in the last season.
Gumball is still going pretty strong - some even like the current season better than the preceding ones - after he finally got the girl, but it's not over yet, so that remains to be seen.

The later seasons of Futurama has Fry and Leela being together, although their relationship did phase in and out of focus depending on the episode.
As Told by Ginger had a reasonably realistic depiction of (eventually permanent) relationships, not only with Ginger and Darren but with her mom and boyfriend too.

Aladdin
Little Mermaid
Tarzan
Arsenal and Cheshire
Kid Flash and Artemis might be stretching it since she pretended to be dead and all, and Wally ended up dying in a cliff hanger.

Didn't Penny break their relationship off in that episode where Darwin was getting jealous?
>>78073140
Nah.
She actually solved the problem, by marryng them.

Why is his butt so big?

Gumball is in a relationship now!?
Jeez, I really need to catch up on TAWOG.

How much longer did the show go on after these two got together? I thought the special where they did was the series finale.
>>78074250
There was one more season.
>>78073038
most of those are movies though
they don't need to think about possible future installations, so it doesn't matter how it ends
>>78074435
Huh.
I should watch it, then. I always thought they made a cute couple.
>>78074575
>most of those are movies though
All those movies had a series as well.

Takes after his mother
>>78072928
Wait they got together in the end?

Varrick and Zhu Li were a romantic subplot in Korra that was actually fun and entertaining
>>78074884
Yes, in the last season ,and Drakken did hook up with Shego too
>>78074926
>Drakken finally gets laid
You can maybe count Sonic and Sally in SaTaM. It's generally one of the best-written relationships in a kids cartoon.
>>78074926
Woah.
>>78072928
Tbh they did fuck up a lot in season 4, especially by turning Ron into a fucking retard.

"Tonight, you."

Theres hardly any stable relationship in western animation unless is between characters that were already established as married or in relationship.
However, there are bunch of promising reccuring friendships developments (bonding) in cartoons that could turn into romantic at least before the end of their respective series
Steven and Connie in Steven Universe
Dipper and Pacifica in Gravity Falls
Discord and Fluttershy in My Litle Pony Friendship is Magic
Donatello and April O'Neil in new TMNT
Pretty much all of them are in the friendzone but they may grow closer depending on the writers.

And little mermaid's was set before the movie so it doesn't count.
I give you Aladdin tho.
>>78075258
There's also Finn/Bubblegum/FlamePrincess/Marceline shit going on in Adventure Times
>>78076722
>shit
Couldn't have said it better myself.
