I think the thing is that now people aren't as taken back by the new turtle designs (even if they're still shit) and the trailer made it seem like they actually get the Turtles this time around.
The music especially hit off well, and everything was overall much brighter and more fun. Like they switched aim from some kind of bastardization of the comic turtles into something more akin to the old cartoon mixed with the new TMNT.

What movies have good CGI anyway?
And would rubber suits honestly be better? They can be awesome and they certainly look more realistic, but you can't really get away with big action scenes with them.

I had that toy.

If only they'd gone further with the turtles. They still look better than the first film, but they could do with some additional work.

they did not want to do that, if they completely changed them in the second movie it would make the fist movie turtles look like a mistake, they are going to keep redesigning them little by little until maybe movie 4 or 5 they will completely different, the best part about it for them is each time they change it they can resell the characters even if they are wearing the exact same clothing something even marvel has an issue with

The only thing i don't like are the turtles designs, Casey looking a little too casual and Megan Fox. Other than that this movie looks like it could make us forget that mediocre movie from 2014 was even a thing, just for how Bebop looks i'm gonna see this flick.
