Do any of you guys know any good comics of mortals turned gods dealing with their newfound powers and struggles to maintain their humanity?
I've read Beyonder's story written by Stan Lee, The New 52 Captain Atom comics, and Watchmen sort of(if that counts).
The Jim Starlin Warlock comics would probably fit
The Beyonder isn't a "mortal turned god" he was always a god.

Kyle Rayner??
I would probably be more interested in a god turned mortal story

Wasn't there a story about that with Darksied?

Try reading Alan Moore's Miracleman, it's pretty much exactly what you described.
What character is that in the OP? That's not Dr. Manhattan is it?

>Not having read Pax Americana
Anon, please. I know no one on /co/ reads comics but that was THE comic of last year.
Preacher?

>that was THE comic of last year
You mostly read Marvel and DC, don't you?

It's actually a Dr. Manhattan proxy, Captain Atom, funny because Dr. Manhattan was created as a Captain Atom proxy.
Grant Morrison wrote an issue of Multiversity about an alternate earth based on Watchmen, but with the characters the Watchmen characters were originally based on.

Not that guy but PA is easily in the top ten single issues of last year, capes or no capes.

Pax Americana was great. Does the fact that it has DC on the cover suddenly take away points for you?
If you don't think it's at least in the top 5 of last years comics give it a read again, take notice of the panel structure, of the 8 motif and try to see how well crafted it is.

No, not at all. Where a comic was published has zero effect on its quality.
But, to be honest, when I see someone write "I know no one on /co/ reads comics" then I just automatically assume that the person posting that does read comics, but only at the most entry-level tier.

Not even sure what this is referencing.

look at the god damn OP pic you waste of breath
A God Somewhere by John Arcudi with Peter Snejbjerg on art is pretty good. But very edgy.

Is this the one where Eric grows a pot belly and goes on a killing spree?

Are comics not a visual medium to you or something? Because Quietly's work on that issue deserves serious recognition. I think Morrison's plotting does too. That comic can be read so many different ways.
Divinity. It's only 4 issues, and it's from earlier this year. A bit obtuse, but I think that's because Valiant is still figuring out what to do with the character going forward.
The Darkseid War: Green Lantern one-shot may fit. It's more "is godhood worth it?" than "adapt to godhood", but it's one of the very few times I've actually liked Hal Jordan as a character.
Supergod by Grant Morrison is what you're looking for
