Not snyder. Interestingly his batman is the only series I've consistently being purchasing year after year since the n52 debuted. I don't even think I enjoy it, but I remember a time when I really did. I guess I'm hoping I'll reach the moment too.
On a side note, what did you guys think of recent twitter fight where they talked about the importance of comix writers v comic artists. Where do you stand?i think both are important obviously. Comics are a collaborative medium. It works because art and writing work together. But other than that I tend to remember stories mostly because of their writing. Art can be amazing but the story/characters sre what seeps into my mind

I think Snyder might be more popular with newer readers because of the confusing timeline Morrison uses.

this had me fucked up for a while too- no, Batman: the return is collected in the B&R: Reborn absolute edition, and presumably also in one of the trades contained in it.
