So if Tavros and Eridan both had reached their full potential, who would have been more powerful? There's been a lot of lipservice to Page powers but to be honest I think Eridan would come out on top; the only time we've actually seen those tremendous powers get used is by a Hope player (an aspect that's also received a lot of lip service), and Hope!Eridan seemed pretty damn powerful even when not GT while he was in that showdown with Sollux.

As someone who made a majority of current friends in middle school over Homestuck, its good for what it is (or was per se).
It works on the concept of a funny comic with relatable and natural characters, set in a solidly built universe. Hussie tried to exceed what HS could handle by making it the socio-mind-fuck of universal and multi-universal proportions and it begins to fade. I stopped at Act 6 because it drags, its no longer a fun roller coaster its just a pull to the top with no foreseeable plummet back into action and adrenaline.

The new kids who were previously the parents are a group of idiots with romantic issues. We then are introduced to another alien species which are basically lizard people with human skulls for heads. These new aliens begin their own game whereupon the male kills the girl, preventing him from finishing their game properly. Through a new series of events the male becomes the ultra powerful villain of the story. Which all the kids after finally meeting up decide to take down

I think it fits, because his issues lie with the "cool" and tough persona he had to put up all his life to deal with shit. It was the same pre-retcon, with him not wanting to fight and just be the "dave of guy" or whatever.
