On one hand, if it IS emotive eyes, that's fucking awesome.
On the other, it might look extremely jarring. Deadpool works because he has regular sized eyes. With Spidey, if it's anything like OP's picture it's going to look weird. While everybody looks normal talking to each other, Spidey's eyes are just gonna constantly shift between big and small.

I think the reason it tends to look weird on Batman might be because his masks always have the molded scowl. Having white eyes like that is only really useful if you can still emote, and having a permanent plastic squint isn't conducive to that.

They do it in comics because drawings can do illogical and unrealistic things like the fabric moving to express emotion but since that doesn't make any sense whatsoever movies do things like the eyes revealed the have emotion instead.
