EMOTIVE EYES almost CONFIRMED BASED RUSSOS SAVING CAPESHIT
>>
Deadpool did it first.
>>

Might be weird.
>>
>>77995730
I'm really interested in how they're gonna pull this off, if it is infact emotive eyes and not just a CGI stuntman (like Iron Man) that they're talking about.
>>
i like the emotive eyes but imagining the OP pic happening in live-action is scaring me
>>
>>77995878
Yeah I wonder if they test these sort of ideas to see if it looks good first.

On one hand, if it IS emotive eyes, that's fucking awesome.

On the other, it might look extremely jarring. Deadpool works because he has regular sized eyes. With Spidey, if it's anything like OP's picture it's going to look weird. While everybody looks normal talking to each other, Spidey's eyes are just gonna constantly shift between big and small.

It's like seeing real life people interact with characters with that "Dreamworks/Disney" style with the eyes.

might work tho but I'd prefer armpit webbing
>>
>>77996672
>It's like seeing real life people interact with characters with that "Dreamworks/Disney" style with the eyes.
I don't think it will be that, I think it's going to be something more like camera apertures.

NOOOOO.

might be cool as fuck for proto-suit though! I'm hopeful that's the case, since Feige keeps saying Peter will wear the classic red/blue suit

Golden Age Batman had a black cowl, that appeared blue in the light because of how comics used to do shading, and was only later interpreted to actually be blue, same as Beast From X-men, I believe.
>>
>>77997116
Yeah, camera apertures are a great idea for Spidey's first homemade hodgepodge outfit. I'd hate it if his final costume had them, but for a prototype suit I think it's cool and definitely fits the character.

>>
Why do you guys think it would be emotive eyes?
I doubt they would do that.. Animated cartoony eyes wouldn't look right in the movieverse.

CG effects are probably Iron Spider Suit related.. I mean, it was confirmed he was getting more than one costume right?

Oh boy, shitty homemade costumes that neckbeards have been crying for for years.

Peter's not an idiot, it's not hard for a kid to figure out how to sew.
>>
>>77996022
That looks like some shit out of a horror movie. You expect kids to buy toys that will give them nightmares?
>>
>>77995730

Big eyes if teenager, small eyes if adult is the rule for me.
>>
Emotive eyes on a suit sound like they would look fucking retarded in live action.
>>
>>77999192

word got out that a kid had been conveived by someone on the goblin serum (no one knew if Norman or Harry was the father), and a competing huge-ass bounties were placed on the kid because every crime lord wanted an immortal tyke to raise in their own image.
Spider-Man was so disgusted with the situation he hunted down ALL the usual suspects until he found out where the kid was
>>
>>77998470
He doesn't even have to sew it. In canon he just took an old body suit that his school's dance department was throwing out and silkscreened the pattern on.
>>
>>77997511
>>78000262
well wasn't his backstory that he chose a spider theme when he decided to avenge the killing of his uncle specifically because it would scare criminals?
>>
>>78001088
No, he choose the spider theme long before his uncle died because he thought it would be a good gimmick for him to use as a TV personality. The suit, the webs, and the name where all stuff he came up with for being a performer, not a hero.
>>
>>78001088
That's just Batman senpai.
>>
>>78001125
>>78001088

Maybe he went for a spider theme because he was bitten by a spider that gave him spider-like superpowers.

I'm just guessing, though.

>>

>>
>>77996550
I think the reason it tends to look weird on Batman might be because his masks always have the molded scowl. Having white eyes like that is only really useful if you can still emote, and having a permanent plastic squint isn't conducive to that.
>>
>>77998486
I did as a kid.
>>78001088
Stan Lee had a really hard time pitching the ideas since everyone assumed kids would find him scary.

That count?
>>
>>78002748
They were all still moving.
>>
>>77999243
This.

I love emotive eyes, but I dunno how I'd feel about cartoon-face Spider-Man talking to Captain America. Maybe CG in some subtle brow movement under the mask, but I can't see emotive Spider eyes working in the MCU, at least not to the degree that OP's pic shows.
If he had the BLACK suit though...
>>
>>78001341
Spider-mans costume is supposed to look dumb why do people like the forget that the costume is made by a huge dork with limited budget?
>>
>>78001380
Only 'cause Ditko overdid it on that cover. But I would love to see some underarm webbing. Don't think we will, though because "test audiences reacted negatively".
>>
I'd love emotive eyes, but what if it's the Iron Spider suit? Would they really introduce the Iron Spider suit if he's only got a cameo in the movie?

Emotive eyes would set him apart from Andrew and Tobey's portrayals.
>>
>>78003333
Imagine you're fighting a criminal, you try to punch him but he dodges it, and tries to escape under your arm, but-BAM! he's now trapped in your armpit spider-web! then you cover him in more web and start eating him.
>>
>>77998486
Subtly creepy visuals don't freak out kids so much as they do adults. See: Angela Anaconda. Besides, Batman is supposed to be an intimidating character.

He should have the big ass barbells, and Jen should have the corner of a building that extends off the screen. But that would make the image way too fucking crowded, so I'm choosing to believe it is his being a derp.

>>
>>77996732
So are you thinking maybe the black of his eyes stays in one shape, but the white part moves aperture-wise on that?
>>
i want the big goofy eyes that change depending on his facial expression like in the cartoons
>>
They do it in comics because drawings can do illogical and unrealistic things like the fabric moving to express emotion but since that doesn't make any sense whatsoever movies do things like the eyes revealed the have emotion instead.
>>
>>78006758
It isn't just a cameo, anon. They announced he's always been in their plans for Civil War. He'll be in it quite a bit, maybe the second half of the movie. You won't see his face (Tom Holland) until probably the end, though.
