That's better. Now explain all the difference between the first season and the second season.
>>
>watch first cable episode of MST3K - The Crawling Eye
>recognize that Freakazoid did a spoof of this obscure horror flick
Well played, F!
>>
>>77990915
The show continued after the first season.
>>
>>77990915
After the first season, didn't the Network want them to switch to longer, single adventures per episode compared to the first season, where they crammed as many skits in as they damn well pleased?

It wasn't the best, but I liked it.

Fuck you, Jamie Kellner.
>>
I didn't really like the first season all that much, mainly because it tried to be a sketch comedy like Animaniacs, but once they turned it into a comedic Superhero show where the plots lasted most of the episode, it was great

I think Freakazoid aged better than Animaniacs with less reliance on pop culture references.

He's great. He showed us a man fighting a bear for no good reason.

But forget Scruffy. He's just a dumb dog anyway.

And Norm Abrahms is the best use of a guest character. Didn't they get into a competition with Earthworm Jim or something to see who could get the most obscure celebrity guest?

Hey i as just talking to Harlan on the internet and I was just telling him I hadn't seen a good cyberspace scene like this one since Tron, which is not the film that broke the bank at Disney in 1983 at Disney as some believe. No, Tron came out in 82, three years after Disney's The Black Hole which was movieland's equivalent to the Hindenburg. What a disaster! And the robots? They made R2-D2 look like Lawrence Olivier. Their big film that bombed in 83 wasn't Tron it was Something Wicked This Way Comes, which is actually pretty fun! But it comes across too soft and it lost a fortune! Anyway, that brought about the arrival of Eisner and Katzenberg...

There was going to be a Lord Bravery spin-off but it turns out there was already another show called Lord Bravery. I think it was a cooking show on Food Network.

>Who would play him in a live-action movie/voice him in a CGI movie?
You know it would be CGI, everything is now a days.
>Would the person who plays him also play his alternate nerd form?
>Would Spielberg have any kind of hand in the project?

Personally, I would have Freakazoid completely CGI and the rest of the world be realistic as possible. Imagine something between movie The Mask and comic-book The Mask.
>>
>>77994869
I think it'd be best to have it be live-action all the way. It's too bad we can't give Paul Rugg the body of a 20 year old

I love Dexter's mom.

"You spend too much time on that computer."
"It's my life."
"That's so very, very, sad!"

She says it with actual emotion, but her facial expression remains a prefer stepford-smiler. She may be the craziest person on the show, deep down.

>>77995134
she said it with a stepfordy voice too though

Freakazoid is probably the closest thing you can get to improv comedy in animation.

It's so whimsically funny that it starts to seem like they made most of it up on the fly.
>>
>>77995230
I believe they did, in some cases. I'm fairly certain Freakazoid's whole thing at the dance in the first episode was a bunch of random things Paul Rugg said in the audition, and they liked it enough that they just used it.

Freakazoid also contained the only acceptable use of poor animation lip syncing besides mocking poorly dubbed martial arts movies.
>>
>>77995945
The Critic also had Jay criticize the bad lip sync in an animated movie (was that ever a problem in the 90s? it was spoofing disney) and then his own lip sync goes out as he repeats AWFUL I TELL YOU
