They just recently (a week or so ago I think. Too lazy to check.) sent out an email saying all of the preproduction for the remaining episodes is finally done.
I'm a backer and pretty disappointed with the project as a whole; not to mention the time it takes them to create 50 minutes of animation.

Nah, of course not. I figured it was something along the lines of his style naturally evolving in such a way, while repressing it somewhat for the actual cartoons. Shades of it DO come through in shorts like Robin Hood Daffy and parts of What's Opera Doc for example.

Whole thing is really weird with these things. Reminds me of how the Rainbow Brite reboot on Feeln got like 3 episodes of 5 minutes each and they tried to call it season 1. Then with Bee and Puppycat they shat out 4 episodes of 5 minutes like no one was going to notice the drastically reduced times and call bull shit.

And that's entirely true.
But you're forgetting that in some pieces, both staffs will change to one clef or the other, often when both hands have to play above or below middle C.
To show this, at the start or middle of a measure a new clef will appear.
This can be undone later by simply doing the same thing with the original clef.
Clef changes are far more common with instruments like the trumpet that can only play one note at a time, but they're not unheard of on the piano.
