Did /co/ like Big Hero 6?
yas bitch
>>77904946
Solid meh out of 10 for me, I don't remember there being any good jokes and the plot wasn't anything special either. It did have some neato visuals though.
>>77904946
Hiro was adorable and the fat robot was cute. Honey Lemon was fun, wish she got more screentime. It was cute, but no masterpiece.
Yes. It's not a terribly inspired movie, but I enjoyed every second if it.
I feel that ending with daughter being alive kinda undermined it.
>>77905160
Hey at least Tadashi wasn't alive. That would have been awful.
It was kind of boring IMO.
It wasn't that funny, the action scenes weren't that exciting, the sentimental moments were a little forced. I didn't like it that much.
>>77904946
I think it's a bit overrated, but it's certainly not bad. It's a very entertaining, competently made movie, it just wasn't very interesting and it didn't quite hit any of the emotional notes it was swinging for.
>>77905200
Wait for the sequel anon. Evil Tadashi will make everything horrible.
I liked it but really wish anyone but Hiro got any character development. I hope the potential sequel gives the rest of the group focus.
>>77905285
That's going to happen in Kingdom Hearts III.
>>77905439
I think it everyone's wish.
Well, it was great.
>>77904946
I remember it disappointing the shit outta me yet I can't remember why.
Maybe it was because the story and characters were all generic as shit. It seemed to me that each member of the team was designed to be some demographic's favorite. Instead of being uniquely thought out and interesting characters in their own right, each of them is designed to be relateable to one assumed demographic. The one size fits all sarcastic snarky main character, the ditsy, adorkable girl, the laid back not-stoner, the no nonsense tough girl, and the whiny cowardly obsessive nerd, all stock cliches. Everything about the movie is so design by committee. It takes a generic kids adventure movie and a generic superhero movie and cynically mashes them together into a whole new breed of mediocrity.
What's there to like? Y'know, besides the porn.
Other than the mildly disturbing "San Fransokyo" idea, i liked the movie. Characters were appealing.

>Other than the mildly disturbing "San Fransokyo" idea,
Never heard it described that way. Care to explain why?
>>77907240
It's EXTREMELY problematic and culturally appropriative, to say the least.
>>77905160
what's with daughters being alive cheapening otherwise emotional stories in animation?
>>77906798
>Maybe it was because the story and characters were all generic as shit.
For me it was the overuse of time-wasting chase and flying scenes in an already short, kid-friendly runtime. It didn't leave a lot of time for side character development.
>>77905285
>>77905550
NO GOD NO PLEASE.
>>77905439
Problems with having that many characters. If you want to develop them all, you run out of screen time, or you make a four hour movie.
Personally I would just like a more prominent role for Honey Lemon. She seemed to have the most personality out of the four secondary characters.

Must control urge to kill...
>>77907240
History re-write? Did we lose the war in '45? The Golden Gate bridge with pagoda's?
Just sayin'
>>77905045
>bahlalalala
>bad joke
if anything it had decent humor writing, the actual bad thing was the plot direction, which was one of its weakest aspects in my opinion, (characters and stylization being its strongest ones), you were expected to give a fuck about a random character whose death wouldn't have been any of the main characters fault after having a period of grievance with another character that you did actually care about
>>77907442
Fuck off
>>77907581
>>77907442
I fucking hate this so much
>here's this character who's the equivalent of a talking rock
>NOOOO MY ROCK IS DEEEEEAAAAAAAAD
>WHY MY ROCK, NOW I MUST FEEL BAD FOR EVERYTHING, FEEL ME AUDIENCE, FEEL MEEEEEEEE
>OMFG MY ROCK WAS NEVER DEAD HOORAY, EVERYONE SHOULD FEEL GOOD ABOUT THIS ROCK WITH NO PERSONALITY, BACKSTORY OR ANY TRAITS RATHER THAN 1 OR 2 LINES IN THE STORY
>>77907756
someone's feeling rather rustled ;)
Why the fuck is this getting a world in Kingdom Hearts 3 despite being barely a year old over longer awaited ones like Robin Hood and Emperor's New Groove?
>>77904946
I liked the characters but the plot as pretty eak after the first 30 minutes. Especially since most of the movie as about Hiro and Baymax and the other heroes barely had time to do something.
>>77908043
selling point, everything disney is done towards marketing, mark my words, there wil be an infinity sora figure and star wars/marvel items/worlds on kh3
>>77908087
>DI Sora.
Thank god. Then I can pretend it's a non-shitty version of KH3.
Big fan of it and honeys legs
>>77908087
>infinity sora figure
Yes please. I'll take any KH merch that's not a fucking Play Arts Kai figure
>>77908545
feel you mate, really want a figure but the existing ones do not meet my expectations, the heartless plushies are good though
No, not really.
>>77904946
No.
>>77904946
it was a crime of storytelling.
They set up this beautiful world, this cast of characters and we only see part of their stories.
Then they tease a comic series with marvel and never do it.
I want to know what happens when Mexican Holidays and Japanese Festivals collide.
How much more drinking is there?
I want to see Wasabi be called back to his Hippie Commune family to help fix things and Baymax starts to become a hippie too.
I want to see Baymax become more and more aware as his AI evolves.
Shit, they could at least do a web mini-series that could be framed as Hiro doing a youtube Channel with his friends.
Great premise that didn't deliver, ending was too rushed.
>>77907581
Did you ever play Red Alert 3 and win the Japan campaign?
That's the timeline Big Hero 6 goes forward from.
But in all seriousness, the creators say there was just more Japanese immigrants in San Fran by the time of the Earthquake, and when they began to rebuild, the Immigrants loaned their own expertise on earthquake proofing, plus adding their own cultural aesthetics.
>>77907384
Question: are you even Japanese? Because if you're not, shut the fuck up.
>>77907582
Are you talking about the "death" of baymax? Or hiros brother?
>>77907581
It's the same universe that Phoenix Wright is st in
>>77910146
>getting triggered by obvious bait
>>77910308
>Eat your hamburgers Apollo.
>>77904946
Underwhelming in every possible way
Not really.
I just watched it recently and I can't remember a thing about it other than Honey Lemon's anal beads.
>>77907582
I don't think it's a bad joke but neither is it a good one, all i can really say is that it's a joke.
it has god tier waifus
>>77907384
Oh, you were trolling
